Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Jul 31 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Hermit lives a quiet life alone in the woods with Pig…until the two are abruptly pulled into a corporate conspiracy.
A factory closure leaves people out of work and hungry. Wildlife starts behaving strangely. And rumors spread of a giant mushroom large enough to feed everyone.
Searching for this legendary Jumbo Fungo means fighting strange creatures, surviving exhausting conversations, and following clues that stretch far beyond the woods. Meanwhile, strange blue mushrooms begin calling to Hermit and Pig…
Battles play out against the clock. Read your enemy’s behavior, choose attacks carefully, and execute button combos before time runs out. Combos grow longer as the story progresses.
“A welcome sense of urgency and strategy in every battle.” — Polygon
Dialogue encounters function like combat. Say the wrong thing and take real cringe damage. Surviving awkward exchanges allows you to grow stronger and level up.
“Validates the internal struggle of social anxiety by turning it into a gameplay loop.” — GameRant
Forage nearly 40 types of fungi to heal, cure status effects, and gain the edge in combat. Pig can sniff out enemy weaknesses in battle or truffles that double as revival items and currency.
“Engaging and fast paced combat, cozy vibes, and plenty of scrumptious mushrooms.” — Loot Level Chill
Progression rewards learning and execution. Each level grants a trinket point. Equip trinkets to customize your battle style. You only have so many points, so every choice matters.
“Standing out within the genre with its frenetic and consistently fun gameplay” — STWGames Italia
Hermit and Pig is designed around timed, combo-based combat and dialogue encounters. If you prefer a more relaxed experience, you can:
Remove combos
Disable timers
Adjust overall difficulty
These options reduce pressure while preserving the story.
“The gameplay was innovative and the turn-based gameplay engaging.” — Minimap
Hermit and Pig draws inspiration from classic RPGs, but it isn’t interested in nostalgia for its own sake. Its key-combo combat systems and dialogue battles create a constant sense of pressure, whether you’re fighting enemies or talking to people.
“A charming, retro RPG that does something different with a familiar formula” — Polygon
6–10 hours depending on play style and exploration

Oink!
Simple, clean, and lots of fun! Sincerely recommend changing the fighting style to simple, though. The commands are VERY hard to remember.
Great game with hilarious writing, very unique combat system that takes some getting used to but you get the hang of it quick. Felt like it fell off a bit in the back half of the game but I still really enjoyed it and recommend it to anyone who's looking for some solid laughs and quirky RPG mechanics. Soundtrack also has some bangers!

Delightful
I love this game, everything about it is great! Great art, soundtrack, story, humour, the combat system is so cool, and theres a ton of accesibility options. Hermit and Pig are the best goofy guys. 100% gonna play it again.
Honestly, it's just a cute ass little game. The battle system is engaging enough and you can customize your battle style pretty well. It gave Earthbound, it gave Undertale. It was deep and compelling, but also goofy irreverent. Worth the ten hours of game play for sure.
A nice RPG with some timing based mechanics during battle. Only issue I had with it is how unforgiving the turn time limit was on hard mode. The compounding of status effects + limited time in inventory + not knowing which mushroom will allow me to recover a particular status effect was brutal. Found it interesting the way most enemies telegraph their changing weakness by their appearance or pose.
Actually love this game! Such a fun time from start to finish.
A truly delightful little romp. It's cute, it's humorous, it's cozy (in its own way), and it's a massively good time all around. Fun combat mechanics (it took me way too long to memorize the combos, and I still needed to look them up occasionally), great dialogue, great soundtrack, and an adorable art style. If you've got a few extra dollars sitting around, this game is a great way to spend a few hours.
I'm surprised this game isn't more popular! I loved it. The characters are charming, the story has a good message, music is good, art is beautiful, and the dialog is funny. I just finished it, and overall, it was a well-polished game with lots of accessibility options. I'm not great with time-based combat, and I appreciated that we could adjust the options to bypass some of the parts of the combat that were more difficult for me.
