The game is OK, but gets tedious quickly. The battles are unbalanced and depend on randomness way too much. The AI is likewise random. The story tries to be cute and funny, but it too becomes tedious very quickly. I bought it when it was about $2.50 and frankly that is about its worth.
I got in on sale for a song, so I can overlook how the story is nonsense and the levels aren't always balanced. It's definitely worth a few hours of your time if you like games like Dicey Dungeons or Dice and Slice (though I think this game has much less content and doesn't feel nearly as satisfying when you do succeed). I really can't emphasise enough how nonsensical the story is, though. Maybe there's something lost in translation, but it kind of feels like when a small child is telling you about a movie they watched six months ago.
Great tiny game. The story is quirky with tons of pop references. The gameplay stays fresh throughout, with each chapter introducing a few new themes and abilities. Some reviews complain about a lack of progression, but I would argue that the refresh with each chapter is what works so well for this game. It plays into the story. It prevents falling into a strategic rot. It creates novelty to each puzzle. Some chapters I enjoyed more than others. Fog is easy to cheat, and ghost ships are hard to control.
Great game. Simple but difficult! Basically a perfect game as it does what it wants and is perfect for some quick but difficult fun!
Finally, where are the dragons?
I just loved the artwork and gameplay. Funny and a bit challenging too. Took me around 12 hrs to beat the game. Dreadful sea monsters are my thing. I wish to see more games like this one.
