Gameplay
The goal is to collect all seven treasures in each stage. You can pick any stage from the get-go, and though you are timed there is no time limit. Each treasure is protected by a swordswomen (who can easily be avoided). You have to manage fatigue and hit points during your hunt. The former allows you to fly and sprint, and the latter does not replenish. You can't pause the game, and the enemies will never stop chasing you. That's not BS at all.
Story
There is no story, moving on.
Visuals
I thought the title menu looked serviceable, though sub menus don't close themselves. Additional menus will continue to clutter the screen until you close them individually. The "Settings" menu allows you control a wide variety of audio and visual preferences, but it is also full of useless buttons. I imagine they are vestigial bits of code from a template, or the developer trying to be funny. I was not amused. - The Goods - The main character dances about a lot. She shakes her booty and well. . . that's about it. Why is this called Hentai Demon?
Verdict
I recommend that you buy something more fun. I'll admit that this game has slightly more content than the average "hentai" game on Steam. But this game controls terribly, and isn't a whole lot of fun. Maybe if this title sported actual hentai, it would succeed at being a little less misleading too.
Support the Wombat
If you enjoy my reviews, please follow my Curator page. .....what you thought it would be a good game.
Ok. For starters, people need to be more fair when leaving a review for a game instead of bashing it because "Oh it has no nudity, where them boobies at! Dont see anything! Instant bad game!" I will be honest yes the title itself is a little misleading but the game itself is pretty well built, the character models look really nice. Someone actually put some time and effort into this and to sell it for only 99 cents. Seriously 99 cents! Yes there isnt a whole lot of game play to it, its simple game......for 99 cents! Seriously what are people thinking when they start smack talking a game "There isnt much here, not worth the price" What, did you expect a full size RPG? Like Elder Scrolls or something like that? 99 cents isnt expensive at all. Like I said, someone put time and effort into this and they are selling it really cheap. So I think the rating people are giving this is really unfair and maybe they should think about how much work actually goes into making something like this. All in all its not a bad little game, check it out
collect, kill, repeat. treasure hunting game. has nothing to do with hentai, and has no nudity
It's a flying simulator and scavenger hunt game. No nudity or Sexual Content, both tags are misleading and should be removed. The combat system needs some work but other than that it shows potential as a flying sim, that's it. I came for the nudity and was disappointed.
This is the 28th review of the Steam Redlight series, a series where I purposely seek out negatively or controversially rated games on Steam to see if they're as bad as the Internet says they are. It's accompanied by a video review that can be found here.
In summary, I don’t recommend Hentai Demon, the gameplay is dull, the music is repetitive while missing a bunch of basic sound effects, and then ultimately there’s just nothing rewarding about playing the game, either well, effectively, or even… at all. It’s also not even ”the first flying anime game” like it claims to be, I’m pretty sure Spyro takes that one.
Introduction
In Hentai Demon, you play as the… hentai demon, I guess. They don’t have a name; I’m not even entirely sure they’re a demon. There’s six levels in total and seven treasure chests on each. Each chest is guarded by some anime schoolgirl (although I think they’re called a “cac” in the About This Game) or a spellcaster. You might be thinking ”ohohoh, this is where the hentai comes in uwu” and well… no, it doesn’t. You can walk or fly around the maps to find these chests, and subsequently your enemies. You can melee each person to death, throw some incredibly difficult-to-aim projectiles, or just simple walk up to the chest, open it, and leave. Once you open all seven, the level is completed and you’re taken back to the main menu. Some confetti shows up and the Hentai Demon does this little anime face which I guess is her way of thanking you for your guidance. The game has a health bar that has no way to refill it in-level, but you’ll get a refueled health bar when you start another level. Stamina is also present and is utilized when you sprint or fly, you can fly faster mid-air with the sprint button, which consumes double stamina. Stamina refills as long as you aren’t using it, including when you’re just falling patiently from the high heavens. The included controls are the typical WASD to move, shift to sprint, space to fly higher (not jump), while the two mouse buttons are for meleeing or casting a projectile. There’s also a cummie-cam if you need some help yanking the crank, press C to bring up the camera menu which focuses on boobs, butts, or the upskirt shot of the Hentai Demon. There’s no nudity in the game though, so these are really just zooms on specific character areas. That’s about all the foundation we need, so let’s move onto what I liked about Hentai Demon.
The Good
The animations were cool, I guess. Pretty smooth. Probably the best value I’ve gotten out of my 140hz monitor so far. The game is missing a lot of basic animations though, like moving and attacking -- it uses the same animation as if you were attacking while standing still, and that just looks funny. So… it’s okay, in the most okayest of ways. That’s about it, so let’s move onto what I liked a little less than okay.
The Ungood
To start, the gameplay is just incredibly dull. You fly around and open seven chests -- I’ve actually described all the mandatory components of gameplay. You don’t have to confront the guards; you can just fly in, open the chest, and fly away and they’ll just chase you… forever. The chests don’t change position and the physics just are a little shoddy - the fastest way to go up a vertical mountain with a steep incline is to just fly into it headfirst - it just elevators you to the top. Next up is the sound design - the game features four different songs and somewhere around seven sound effects in total. I don’t usually count songs and sound effects unless I can really do it on both hands in addition to feeling like something is missing. Well, both of those requirements got met because there’s no walking or flying sound, and the game repeats its songs pretty frequently. The songs also seem like karaoke versions to anime openings, which I guess is okay, but the songs just don’t seem appropriate for the environment, so it all just feels insufficient. Lastly, the game just doesn’t provide any type of reward; even basic puzzle games give you some basic 2D tiddies to pop it off to, and this game doesn’t. I’m not sure why it’s marked as Adult Only because there’s nothing that could classify it as that sort of game - it’s surely NSFW sure, but I’d think very few games are SFW. The About This Game mentions collecting the seven gold boxes for achievements, but there’s no achievements present, and I guess, spoiler warning about the game ending:
even after beating all 6 levels, there’s nothing else. No celebration, no credits scene, no… nothin’
. If someone wanted to tenderize their meat to this game, you could just watch the Steam store trailer because it contains just about all the content you’d witness in the game.
The End
Well… that’s about it. SeedWall has made some pretty compelling games like Hentai versus Furries, Trump Loves Waifus, and Daenary’s doesn’t want Hentai (why not?). They all appear to be pretty simple meme-theme games, but if this was meant to be up there with those, this game still managed to come up short in that category. Probably should just go play Hentai versus Furries, it seems to be a little more complete. also bei so einem billigen game zu sagen ist das geld nicht wert ist schon hart ist aber leider so
No tiene hentai, sólo demon
