Hello Kitty and Sanrio Friends Racing

hell yeah, man this game is straight ass, but i enjoyed the 2 hours it takes to 100% the achievements, a more competent player could do it in less time. it isn't very polished, and seems to be an earlier or more incomplete version of Hello Kitty Kruisers With Sanrio Friends, that you can play on the switch. it uses the 3DS logo for some steam images ... which is actually kinda funny. the controls aren't great either, the carts themselves are inoffensive, but boats feel like your steering through syrup, and the planes are ... a choice. the controls not being the best make the challenges kind of annoying and it's more about your endurance and willpower as a person than it is actual skill. the NPC AI is also ... something, as they often get stuck on the map. the models for both chracters and vehicles have serious clipping issues, but i don't really care about that because the shaders make some of the characters give the impression i have a haunted copy and am about to be creepypasta'd, unity lighting on top of the baked in shadows DOES NOT HELP LMAO. i feel seconds away from seeing hyper-realistic blood and hearing backwards music. to be real, i don't think the price is justified, but for as bad of a game it is i did have a lot of fun with it. something about the jank is endearing and i probably would have played this unironically as a teenager on the 3DS.

No doubt the best sim racing game I have ever played in my life. 10/10 mechanics, graphics and all the Sanrio characters feel so cool to play with. Extra 10 points for Purin :D. I would recommend everyone to buy this game to play, this game really was ahead of it's time. This was really the most fun I have had in years of playing video games. If Hello Kitty and Sanrio Friends Racing was released today, it would already be the Game of The Year.

As some others have said in these reviews, this game is unfinished. Graphical and mechanical glitches are abundant (e.g., objects floating several feet off of the ground, getting stuck to walls during the boating races), and there are even numerous typos in game text. My kid plays on my PC using an Xbox controller and, while it works marginally well during the races, most of the menu and interface navigation is impossible with the controller. On multiplayer, the controllers seem to stop functioning almost entirely. As for the difficulty - for the most part, it seems appropriate for a 4-8 yr age range, although some elements are far too easy while others are ludicrously difficult for that age group. Not well balanced. Issues aside, the game is very cute and has kept my kid's attention.

modern games wish they looked this good. thank you hello kitty. for another experience that was fairly priced and not buggy. i love you hello kitty. please keep making games. i like to think that hello kitty himself is watching me type this. and that makes me fuzzy
