Very fun if you like games like Vampire Survivors and 20 Minutes Till Dawn. Has a bit of a learning curve/slow start (or alternatively I suck)
This game is simple, straight to the point fun fun fun. Along with simplicity comes a whole heap of content and a willingness from the dev to keep players happy. Solid rocks for you my friend all around. I just started playing this like a month ago and a year later from release the dev is still in contact making this game shine. Congrats and I can't wait to see what you come up with next.
Love it so far. Good classes, fun grind.

Top tier bullethell game. 5/5. Hoping for future DLC, even if it costs money.
*All the issues I described below have been fixed the game is awesome now and improves on the original vs in every way with interesting missions, boss fights and characters classes with unique abilities. Tons of content and unlocks to go through this one will keep you busy for quite a while since it's also quite challenging. Love everything about it and hoping maybe for a sequel with online co-op* I've played quite a bit of bullet heaven games and this is one of the most enjoyable ones. Some nice ideas with the missions. Plenty of everything weapons , classes that offer quite varied builds. The only flaw here is whatever engine they chose to build this on. The game cannot handle the many enemies on screen when you are getting close to the 20 min mark the screen will start to violently shake unable to keep up. Also as of the writing of this review it's not possible to get this to work with a series x controller. Even with the tech issues It's a strong recommend due to fair price and pure fun factor. Hope we get a sequel on different engine or a rebuild for this one from the ground up.
HellEscape is a game that seems like a clone of Vampire Survivors on it's surface, but I think it executes the formula well and does a good job adding it's own mechanics. Having a dash, for example, seems like a basic concept and something that a lot of other reverse bullet hell's have added, but HellEscape does a good job of making it useful. Every round there are genuinely times I'd have died without the dash, and I think if you're going to add a feature like that you have to give it a purpose. Beyond the dash, there's a few things HellEscape does differently, like chickens you can unlock that drop food when killed, giving you weapon modifiers as unlocks you can level up (like split arrows), and a unique chest system where they spawn randomly, rather than from mini-bosses. I definitely don't think it's the best one in the genre, but I think it's worth picking up even if you haven't beaten Vampire Survivors. (I played the game a decent amount of time on itch before it was de-listed, which is why my hours are so low)
Wow, for the money it's a little bullet heaven bargain. Even having put millions of hours into BH games I am still having fun in this one. And, it's well put together game, sounds, looks, and plays great. Yeah well worth a buy especially if your a fan and/or collector of BH games like me.
Very fun and addictive! lots a variety in heroes and missions/achivments.
No cloud save really sucks... I have some more time now. I think the initial grind after level one is insane. Gold gain is so slow, and between upgrades, buying new classes, pets. This is compounded with certain upgrades being necessary because monsters can rush you down with no counter play unless you kill them immediately (RIP any summoner build). That is unless you have movement speed upgrades and dash. So most of the time you'll get like 30 gold if you lose a run. And maybe only 100-ish if you get the 1 time mission reward. Other stuff like seemingly lacking any synergies/upgrades/evolutions sucks but with the price tag it's not the end of the world. Especially with the amount of content. And i like the unique missions. Now if i could just access that said content
