I beat this game when it came out on a 6800XT AMD graphics card so when i upgraded i bought it on steam to see how it ran on something more recent. On high preset i cant get above 120 fps constantly, idk if its the game or DLSS but there is some blur/sparkle to foliage and the edges of hair. Doesnt look bad, the game overall looks like a movie and to be honest it also plays like a movie because its mostly walking around and when you get to a cutscene its unskipable. This is one of those games you play once and you like it. Wouldnt say it has much replayability.
It’s a good game with a good story. One thing to consider is that the game is very poorly optimized. I have an RTX 3070 Ti and experienced constant FPS issues throughout my playthrough; perhaps running it on an ultrawide 3440x1440 monitor was too much, as I had to constantly adjust the quality settings at times.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Nota 8.0
Graphically amazing but ultimately the gameplay is like Dragons Lair from the 80s arcades. You dont really do much just walk slowly through the landscape while voices whisper in your head.Ran pretty smoothly on my aging gaming laptop.I gave up playing after around three hours as I got the game on sale and felt I had gotten that much value from it,but there is no way it is worth €50.
9/10 overall.
nice this games
I was a fan of the original Hellblade since 2019. When they announced this sequel shortly after I first played it I was so excited. Then a couple years went by and I kind of stopped caring about this game. It's been such a long time that the hype kind of died down for me. Then Hellblade II finally released in 2024. And the reception I've seen was not what I expected. People trashed this game all over the internet. Called it a 3 hour walking sim, a glorified UE5 tech demo, said it's more of a movie than a game. So naturally I wasn't very excited to pay almost a full price for a 3 hour tech demo. And now it's been 2 years. It was on the latest Steam summer sale and I decided to grab it and finally play it (not before another replay of the first game). And what do I think of it? I don't know who were the people who said the things above but now it's clear they probably were not actual fans of the original and were just looking to trash this game for the sake of... I don't really know. Hellblade II is not a perfect game and it's not a perfect movie. It's something in between that is unique to itself. While it does have walking sim qualities (much like the first one...) it is not something that I think can be just done as a full on movie. Or a full on game. What it does can only be done in this way. Ninja Theory took the immersive and intense cinematic traits of its 2017 predecessor and turned it up all they way to 11. This is a bold, sprawling experience that just picks you up and takes you wherever it wants to go. It does not shy away from its walking sim/tech demo nature. It embraces it and uses it to truly blur the line between what exactly is a game and what is a movie. The puzzle are quite simple but can provide some brain activity from time to time, honestly that is all there is to say about them and I think that is totally fine. They were a step down from the first one, like almost every other "gamey" quality. But I peacefully live with this trade off. The story does start out in quite a random way. For a good portion of the experience I was not quite sure if this was some silly side quest to the first one. But at a certain point the ties are made and the confusion gives way for a strong and satisfying narrative. It is not as intimate or personal but it does have its own merits. On a side note - I have no idea how anybody finished this in 3 hours. This one is as long and maybe even a bit longer than the first one. If anybody was expecting a 60 hour RPG that's on them. The combat is where the biggest sacrifice of video game-for-movie was made. The enemy patterns are quite hard to accurately read and the overall feel and flow of the combat is much less responsive. If I parried my entire way through the first one with ease on hard difficulty, in this one I was nearly dying in almost every fight, or was made to feel like I was. The fights do get repetitive but god do they feel big and heavy. Truly a showpiece. And the animations are industry-best. To summarize, If you liked the first game you will like this one too, maybe even appreciate its cinematic traits a little more. The story being told here may not be as strong, but in my opinion it is still worth experiencing. There is a trade off to traditional video game aspects like puzzles and combat but I think it's worth it. Hellblade II is not a perfect video game and it's not a perfect movie, but it is the most unique and bold "in between" I have ever experienced.
