Hellblade II: Senua’s Saga

When it comes to the visuals and immersion it's 10/10 but I think I liked the first part more. I mean, it's more emotional and has this "personal experience" feeling. In this part, she's more like a hero which isn't a bad thing but it's a lot more common in a game plot yk. I think I didn't get the same emotions or didn't relate that much (personally) to her this time. But overall it's still a great game and storytelling is still awesome! The switch between cinematics and actual gameplay was sooo smooth + the dialogues in between fights, very epic. Only thing I would rate a 6/10 is the combat. Senua is usually slow in blocking and evading, idk maybe the animation duration has something to do with this but sometimes it feels like the enemies can do combos easily than her, if it weren't for her 'focus', it's going to be too hard to kill the enemies. I wish her combat combos are more accurate in timing when players hit the keys and what is being shown on screen. I enjoyed it a lot!

A ver, la primera parte era muchisimo mejor. Me han flipado las escenas de combate pero al final la historia es demasiado onírica pero sin el punch de la primera parte. A veces el juego me daba tirones pero por mi pobre pc. Yo le daria un tiento pero vamos, ya al final tenia ganas de que acabara.

Not as good as the first one but worth playing, cool story, could have been done better at times, but the performance is absolute trash. Mid every cutscene my fps dropped from 160 to 10 and stayed like that for some time. Still recommend, especially if you liked the first one and want to follow her story some more (7 hours). Also you can remove the stupid black bars that cover half your screen by editing the engine.ini file.

It's pretty hard to review this. Don't get me wrong, Hellblade II is a great and unique game, which I can easily recommend. It's just significantly worse than Hellblade I. Everything apart from the visuals is inferior. It didn't have the same impact. It didn't feel as personal. And it didn't hook me in nearly as much as its predecessor. Yes, in the end the story did kick in. But right at that very moment, the game ended. It's less than 7 hours of pure gameplay. And would be like 4 if the running speed wasn't locked to an annoying snail's pace. And the combat sequences in which you always kill one guy only to then be suddenly grabbed from behind by another dude were honestly funny. But I seriously doubt that was the intention... So yeah. Still great. Still unique. Still recommended. Just keep in mind you are basically getting a technical demo with great visuals and sound design. It unfortunately does not match the first game in terms of overall quality.

Insane... a real piece of art ! Really recommand it. You must play it to understand.
