Difficult one to recommend - it's really something special to experience - but also in my opinion the first game was far superior in many ways. a beautiful game with stunning graphics and atmosphere - but... the puzzles get annoying, the endless slow walking (running is also slow) gets annoying. The fights even get annoying. And the fact that other people seem to see Senua's hallucinations is really annoying. This game is certainly good - especially if you like a darkly atmospheric world - but the first game was greater by far.
A great game with plenty of room for improvement and a few caveats. The good: - The graphics are spectacular. If possible, play with the graphics settings maxed out to ensure maximum immersion; it is simply mind-blowing; - The story. Incredibly, they didn't make this sequel "just for the sake of it," and the narrative remains just as gripping as the first game's, though it falls short in a few areas (as I’ll discuss later); - The characters are engaging; despite the limited time you spend with them, they will certainly stick in your memory thanks to the intimate experiences they share with Senua; - Senua’s schizophrenia/paranoia remains ever-present and continues to be a standout feature of the experience; The not-so-good: - The ending is clearly left "open" to set up another entry in the franchise (everything was going great until the final minutes, when they leave exactly what happens quite ambiguous); - The combat, while decent at the start, ends up becoming a bit repetitive as the game progresses; - As many have noted, it is a rather short "game" that, in many respects, isn't exactly a game—at least not in the conventional sense; - Due to the direction the plot takes, the game becomes more "fantastical" than realistic; Senua’s schizophrenia becomes part of something real and "mystical" rather than a metaphor for the condition itself. For those who value realism over folklore—myself included—this might be a downside; - The game is extremely linear, just like the first one (though if that wasn't an issue for you in the original, it certainly won't be here). Overall, I recommend this game, but with a major caveat: Hellblade 2 is far more of an "immersive cinematic experience" than a traditional game. If you’re looking for phenomenal graphics and a strong narrative focus, Hellblade 2 is definitely for you. If you are expecting an interactive world packed with action and the typical structure found in most other games on the market, Hellblade 2 certainly won't appeal to you.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

It is such a unique experience and I love it for what it is doing. Just wish DLSS was not required as much on 4k with a 3080ti.
Just like its first game Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 out does itself once again. Ninja theory have made what I would consider to be a graphically stunning, and story rich game, giving you agency where it matters and holding your hand where it needs to for the sake of the story. And like the previous Hellblade game, its focus on Psychosis, and the inner demons that Senua has to face, and by proxy in this one, the demons others must face themselves too, keeps you engaged. Its a slog of a game though, and it isn't by any means fast, but when the combat ramps up, it feels meaningful, manic, but also feels like it is truly for a reason - like you as the player/Senua you HAVE to fight. Not just becuase its a game but within the story to see the whole thing through. Its also an incredibly gory game (not seen here), but that is nature of a game that is so heavily entrenched in early 750 to 800 AD Scandinavia and Scotland, due to the Norsk influences and history of the time. To say its a beautiful game - oversimplifies it. Its another phenomenal game from an incredibly creative team that also focuses on meaning in their games down to the very core influences. Ninja theory absolutely killed it with this yet again, and I cant wait for the next installment!
7/10 In this game we concentrate less on Senua herself, but on the issues of other people. This led to less personal heartbreak moments than in the first game for myself. As result of the story this game features way less combat and bossfights, but more puzzles and a lot more walking. There are still some insanely well executed moments, as in the "fight" against the first giant, but then they repeat the mechanic for the second giant. The animations are all insanely good including the motion capture of not only Senua, but the other characters aswell. I d wish for a bigger focus on senua in the next title and more combat, but hey maybe other people think differently about this
I absolutely love Hellblade Saga
