(100% Review - Steam Deck - 2026) I just did 100% in 2026, playing entirely on Steam Deck, and I have to say: this game is much better than most reviewers say. It reminds me a little of A Hat in Time, but with dark humor. Great movement, engaging worlds, and a fun sense of exploration. The game is mostly focused on collectibles, exploration, and platforming challenges. There are some bosses with a decent level of difficulty, but they're not the main focus of the game. I had fun throughout the entire process of getting 100%. First, I explored everything on my own, and near the end I used guides to track down the last few collectibles (some are really hard to find on your own). The only part that wasn't particularly enjoyable was the grind required for the 1% achievement and the last few skins. However, you can earn money quickly at the slot machines by saving when you win and reloading when you lose. I made around 13,000 coins this way. I did find a few minor bugs, but nothing game-breaking: ● 3x "Fatal Error" crashes - I simply relaunched the game and continued playing immediately. ● 2x a control bug where Up becomes Right, Right becomes Down, Down becomes Left, and Left becomes Up. Apparently, this can happen if you die and respawn while holding a direction. Again, the issue was easily fixed by restarting the game. It only happened twice in 23 hours of gameplay. ● A bug in Dr. Jell's Emergency where an NPC threw an item into the abyss and it did not respawn immediately. I posted my solution in the bug discussion thread. Overall, I had a great time with the game and definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys collectathons and exploration-focused platformers. At least on Steam Deck in 2026, it's perfectly possible to get 100%.

Its fun and It's funny.Like mixing DK64, Spyro and Crash Candicoot. If you dislike politically incorrect stuff, steer clear. I love it :D No bugs found yet. Performance is quite good. The downside is the camera seems designed by the devil himself. I've die way too many times because the camera got stuck in an awful angle and killed depth perception. this is specially frustrating at bosses where the camera locks up in one angle, but still more in some directions

Hell Pie was a pleasant surprise! A platformer inspired by some of the greatest platformers of all time and conkers bad fur day, Hell Pie really surprised me! It was a fun and decently challenging game that was as vulgar as it was entertaining! I only got angry during the boss thats chasing you that kinda like crash bandicoot. oh ♥♥♥♥♥ that boss got me ♥♥♥♥♥♥ UP. NEEDS MORE CHECKPOINTS PLEASE!!!! having to do the run section, then fight the boss, only to die and have to do it all again was SO MEAN!!!!!! Hell Pie fits in amongst the greatest 3D platformers of our time, wears its inspirations on its sleeves, and looks GOOD while doing it! Even the nastiness cant soil this experience!
Hell Pie is a 3D platformer with some collectathon elements to it. The gameplay mechanics is solid, and overall movement around the levels is really fun, but it’s a shame the game is brought down by it’s theme. I knew what I was getting into with the game’s description and content warnings. I am accustomed to dark humor and knew this game’s inspiration is Conker’s bad fur day from the n64 era. I went into this knowing there could be toilet humor/gore/innuendo, but the themes in this game was abhorrently bad. Dark humor without the humor. It’s like there was a checklist for shock value on adding tasteless themes and they were just thrown in without much effort in the context on why it’s even in the game. Again, I really did like the movement options, the upgrades, and levels- from a gameplay perspective. The theme did feel like it brought the game down. Steam’s reviews just boils down to “Do you recommend this to another person”, and I would have to say no. There are other 3D platformers out there- and some that can do the dark humor stuff right.
The game just did not click for me. I like the whole theme and style of the game. But the gameplay is just not for me.
