Accompanied by the Roman poet Virgil and protected by the sanctified Beatrice, you must rescue and befriend the Poets of Limbo to unlock new abilities and perks, ultimate attacks and signature weapons!
Meet all the legendary poets of antiquity including but not limited to Homer, Ovid, Horace and Lucan, and help them find their own way to salvation.

Hell Maiden picks up from the ending of the original Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri.
Dante is now inexplicably back in Hell after having reached Paradiso — and she's lost all her memories to boot! Unable to remember anything about her past life or her first journey through Hell, Dante is determined to climb her way back to Heaven and once again come face to face with Paradiso's higher powers in search for answers.
A compelling story about passion, justice and love, Hell Maiden is more than a reimagining of the classic poem — it is the exciting continuation of its events!

I didn't think making a game more boring than Vampire Survivors in 2026 was possible but this game proved me wrong
Estoy notando una tendencia en la cantidad de juegos basados en la Divina Comedia que me flipan...

Однозначно лучший bullet heaven. После Vampire Survivors, конечно.
i have never played this style of game before (vampire survivors-like) but the conceit of this game (dante's inferno but yuri) and the old-school anime art style drew me in and wow it has been SO fun and i am so excited to see more as it's added to the game <3 if you aren't sure you'll like the gameplay but are drawn in by other aspects of the game please give it a shot!! there's definitely some stuff to be worked out as early access goes along but even as is this is absolutely worth $10 and i have been non-stop recommending it to people lol. also PLEAAASE put in ugolino from the 9th circle as an anime girl #herbishophead
a captivating direct sequel to the Divine Comedy of the 14th century
absolutely nuts 10/10 perfect aesthetic and art style Mili doing the opening song is incredible the aesthetics available for the early access price are excellent and it's completely worth supporting; total steal of a price at time of review the card based system is great, but sometimes the UI may be a little finicky about allowing cards to be dragged onto weapons (should just work more consistently or clearly in terms of inputs on mouse and keyboard; sometimes the mouse hover steals focus into the wrong area of the UI) voice work is also excellently casted/matched to the aesthetic, but there may be some element of sound engineering/acting that is leaving Dante and Virgil sounding maybe too similar in line delivery at times
- Shoujo yuri Divine Comedy wasn't something I'd ever expect to play but I'm down for it. - Art style is fantastic. If you're an old weeb like me you can tell that there was a ton of care and attention put into all the details to make the creative direction feel super authentic to the genre. The game gives me Elemental Gearbolt kind of nostalgia. - Difficulty does ramp up a little bit on Lust vs Limbo, but it just forces you to work on card synergies better. It's definitely tough the first time around, but I don't think it's unfair. Could definitely tweak/tone it down a bit for the people who don't play Survivors-like games. - Runs pretty good on the steam deck but particle effects and enemies can cause some frame rate issues during the rolley snake parts. Other than that no issues. - Narrative is fun, Looking forward to see how the story plays out. - Solid bones overall, I don't regret my purchase one bit.
the music is so good and game is fun
很好的游戏,期待后续内容
I am not gonna lie, at first I wasn't too sold on this game since its quite different from games I usually play. But after playing for hours now, I can say that I have completely fallen in love with it. It's engaging and refreshing and the story plus dialogue are nice and funny at times. I love the character design and the animation bits plus the music is amazing (you can never go wrong my Mili). Overall, I would give it an 8/10 My reasoning being that the difficulty jump from circle 1 and 2 is kind of big. I know if I grind more I can definitely pass circle 2 but it feels like a big jump from circle one and can get a little infuriating. Another thing I am a little iffy about is how much wails you gain by finishing the circles. The usual is 100+ but that is a whole finished run including defeating Minos. Trying to level up your stats gets tedious as you go from spending 50 wails for the first upgrade then it jumps to 200 then to 500 and you get the idea. To level a single stat is would take way too many matches of 12 minutes+ and if you go back to the difficulty change from circle 1 to 2, it would take forever to comfortably beat circle 2 without spending a ridiculous amount of time to level 4+ stats at the least since there is a lot of stats to take into account. I feel if the Wails you gain from each match gets boosted or the difficulty from circle 1 and 2 gets diminished, it could fix both issues. More Wails= Makes it easier to level up stats so circle 2 isn't incredible difficult Reduce difficulty jump between circles= No need to increase Wails gain and therefore will not require a ridiculous amount of grinding to level up stats to beat higher circles Overall, I love the playing style and its a more controller type of game than keyboard which I actually enjoy quite a lot. I would definitely recommend the game. It is incredibly fun besides the difficulty issues. I will continue to look forward to the development of this game and will for sure continue to play and wait patiently for more updates and the full release!
