I loved every minute of this game. I was so annoyed after chapter when it said "chapter 3 coming soon". How can the dev's tease me like that. It's February and i have to wait till the end of June for chapter 3? It's like having to wait forever for my favourite shows to come out on Netflix or when Tell Tale games took a lifetime to bring out their chapters for games. I have a feeling that end of chapter 3 is going to drive me more insane because i will have to wait till the end of October for chapter 4.
Had such a blast with this game! I loved how I could never predict what would happen next, and I love that it included choice based narratives as well, definitely upped the severity of it all. I can tell the devs had a lot of fun with it, I thought the humor was great and I truly had so much fun through every twist and turn!
Spooky, tense? Sure, but extremely short. Even with the 3 chapters it will be max 1H 30min i think, so the price is reasonable
Juancho Dominguez Martinez Benavides De La Cruz is my favourite maintenance man ever.
The title of this game immediately caught my attention, as my beloved dog’s name was Helios. Naturally, I was curious—and I’m glad I gave it a try. This is a delightfully eerie little horror game with just the right amount of spookiness. I really enjoyed the interactive elements and found the storyline engaging throughout. The atmosphere was immersive, and the pacing kept me interested from start to finish. I'm genuinely excited to see where future updates will take the game and what new content might be introduced. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, short, and spooky experience.
Helios Hotel: The Night Shift is a story-driven horror game where players take on the role of Rose, a new receptionist working the graveyard shift at an eerie, mysterious hotel. Blending elements of time management and narrative-driven horror, the game challenges players to balance their duties while uncovering the unsettling secrets hidden within the Helios Hotel. Pros: ✔️ Promising Foundation: Even in my limited playtime, it’s clear that the game has a solid base with interesting mechanics and potential for a gripping horror experience. ✔️ Thoughtful Design Choices: Despite the constraints of a small development team, the game makes smart design decisions that help elevate its atmosphere and gameplay. ✔️ Intriguing Time Management Mechanic: The balance between completing hotel tasks and dealing with the creeping horror unfolding around you adds a layer of tension and strategy. Cons: ❌ Stability Issues: The game crashed during my session, making it unplayable and preventing me from giving it a full evaluation. ❌ Cheesy Dialogue: Some of the character interactions feel overly dramatic or cliché, which slightly undermines the intended horror tone. ❌ Indie Limitations Are Noticeable: Certain aspects, from animations to UI elements, feel underdeveloped, making it clear that this is a smaller-scale project. "Helios Hotel: The Night Shift" seems like it could be a unique horror experience with an engaging balance of time management and storytelling, but in its current state, stability issues make it difficult to fully enjoy, and by that I mean play at all. I’ll have to revisit it once it gets patched up to see if it can live up to its potential. Score: 5 out of 10 haunted reservations—A game with promise, but it checked out early for me.
I really enjoyed this and finding achievements and secrets in the hotel. I can't wait for more chapters!!
THE HOTEL STAFF WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND!!! ❤️❤️ Generous bartender, receptionist kept finding my lost wife, and there were free vending machines on every floor. I did kept waking up randomly in closed off sections of the hotel but the handy-man Juancho got me back to the main area ok. Did anyone see that thing with glowing red eyes? I think it was just all those vodkas I had... 10/10 on Expedia dot com and Priceline. Great jumpscares, lots of funny moments, I am excited for the next chapters to be released!
NOOOOOOOOOO 😭 i didn’t realise it was coming out in chapters 😭😭😭 please release it right nowwwwww 😭😭😭
It's trashy. But the good kind of trashy. I was spooked and had a good few laughs. Kind of felt like a fever dream. Definitely a title I'll remember.
