Why would you put the Clear Save button directly underneath the Continue option? Pretty big oversight to be honest. Totally not livid right now, not angry enough to write a review even.

Heavy Bullets is a game that just presents a platter of eggs and says "You have to eat all the eggs" and cowards would cry and say it's too many eggs But me, I'm built different, and presented with all these eggs I just imagined all the delectable egg dishes I'm about to have, and now that I'm on my 15th omelet I'm still going strong
Intense! And REALLY good simple shooter. I had tried it multiple times over the years but only now in 2025 did I go in with right mindset and it clicked. It is a short game, don't let the 7h fool you (I left it on for a day) it is a short game once you get the hang of it. A run from level one to level 8 and the final boss takes about 50 minutes. But to be able to do the sub 60 min run requires a few tries and learning how the enemies behave. Enemy variety is pretty decent and hitboxes are nice and large. Yet still the enemies can pose a serious threat when one is not careful. Despite what many videos and the trailer shows, the game is pretty methodical and tactical. Checking corners, keeping track of the ammo and deciding when to push and when to retreat is very much the name of the game here. It is much less a boomer shooter and more of a tactical corner clearing shooter. The envioroment and graphics over all make it clear and easy to understand what is going on. It is easy to pickup and yet still has enough depth to be worth how ever much coin it is being sold at the moment even at full price.
Playing this game on Windows XP with a CRT on is fantastic.
I gave this game a fair shot, and the only emotion it really brought me was *frustration* This game feels incredibly 'Cheap', and I don't mean the price, it feels like you're at the mercy as to whatever map layout you get. There's been many instances in my few hours of playing where damage just feels unavoidable, multiple turrets trained on you the moment you enter rooms, snakes blending in with the background. Most damage you take feels cheap, and when you're a RogueLite that's one of the worst things you can do. Many of the items I've picked up feel almost useless, with passives also not telling you anything about what they're doing. The sound design as well is unneccesarily hard on the ears, even in menus you get this 8bit-screeching like effect which just hurts the ears. No way to turn this off either. It feels nice to get a clean run going, speeding through the levels, but again, you'll get hit by a number of things you'd seem to need inhuman reaction time to avoid. I'd avoid this unless you just want something to make you angry for a few hours.
For my liking it is very generic and soulless to play. Progress is very slow and the game ends up being overall not that satisfying. I think it is just a product of the time it came out. No permanent upgrades is probably the biggest feature missing. The game for the time I played overall was just mediocre. And I felt like I have seen everything the game has to offer in the playtime of about an hour and forty minutes . Worth trying on sale if you think you might like it ,just not my cup of tea. 4/10
A neat concept, but thats about it. What you see in the first 2 levels is what you get. Very overpriced, and even still on sale.
actually a fun game to play once in a while. would recommend.
