I play a lot of deckbuilders. This one feels refreshingly different. I love the flexibility this game's upgrade system creates. I'm not sure it's balanced, but it's just fun. It's nice to look at, too. Edit: I've come back to this a few times over the last two years. I probably wouldn't recommend this as someone's first deckbuilding game, but if you've played the mainstays this offers something that other games don't. The card modification system is just so cool. If you like the genre, play this game.

Nuclear bombs taste like copper (edit: what the ♥♥♥♥ does that even mean?!)
Very fun on steam deck
Heat Death is a surprisingly solid and stylized roguelite deckbuilder that has you playing as planets of all things. The combos you can make are better than I would've expected from such a semi-harebrained concept, and it is very satisfying when a run goes well. However, the content feels limited, and there is surely no way this is going to get expanded, even though it says it is an "early access version" on the game's bootup window still. I got this game for like $2.50 on sale, and that is a fair price.
UPDATE: Dev started updating game with some major content after a long delay. While the lack of communication is a bit concerning, the game now has enough content for a thumbs up if you are a rogue-like deck builder fan. OLD REVIEW: Good but abandoned. Sadly need to give a thumbs down.
Had a blast playing this turn based beauty! Can't wait for the full release to revisit
