Super cute! Love games I can finish in a day or two that feature character-driven stories.
loved it, very cute and simple but heart wrenching. nicely done :)
When I bought this game I was not expecting to write this review but I also wasn't expecting a game to make me cry in under 4 hours. If you have any interest at all in story-driven games with well-written interesting characters play this game. I give it my wholehearted recommendation.
Honestly was surprised at the power of the writing. It's really really strong. It's got very charming leads, including an implied autistic love interest done extremely well. It's also got a moral question at the end that really got me. I found myself making the choice I did not expect to after being so sure I know what I would do. It's not got too much going on under the hood, but the power of the premise, the writing, and the art carry it fully and make it something worth playing.
Iz good. When does a game have enough reviews to get "overwhelmingly positive"? >:(
Heartstop is a very moving and very challenging game. If you enjoy narrative titles that have difficult decisions and very deeply conceived characters, then Heartstop is a game you will love.
I went into this game shooting for the best possible ending... The chemistry of the leads is infectious and they make for plenty of charming interactions, with meaningful and earned relationship development. But there's a certain inevitable tragedy looming over the narrative that makes for a genuinely difficult series of moral questions near the end. Plus, there's a ton of unexpected depth to the world if you're willing to explore different choices, see things develop differently, put the pieces together. Which paints a very intriguing picture, I very much recommend giving this a shot!

What do you do when you wake up one morning and the world, or the people around you, are frozen? This is exactly the question, that you are confronted with, at the beginning of Heartstop. First and foremost, you try to survive as long as possible. But how do you react, when one day a living person suddenly stands in front of you among all the frozen people? Together with Molly, this mysterious girl, you try to understand the cause of this catastrophe and stumble upon one or the other shocking secret. The relationship you build with Molly depends upon yourself. Many of the decisions you make have an actual impact on the course of action. But no matter what decisions you make... The relationship with Molly is likely unique. At certain points it is tense, but the next moment it can also be warm and absolutely sweet or romantic. Despite the serious situation in which the two girls find themselves, I found Molly's unexpectedly cheeky humor very refreshing. The ending, of which there are several, conjured up a satisfied smile on my face and a tear or two in my eyes. :*) At least with the ending, that I got.
this game honestly is a gut wrenching to say the least, the game makes a daamn good job on actually caring for them both 10/10 money well spent
