About

Hearth and Hamlet is a cozy incremental citybuilder set in a magic-filled medieval pixel art world. Gather resources, assign workers, construct buildings and slowly, steadily turn a quiet frontier camp into a magnificent, thriving kingdom.
From humble beginnings to magical new heights, you’ll grow your settlement one decision at a time and discover more of what the world has to offer along the way.
Building is only the beginning. As your settlement grows, managing it becomes just as important as expanding it. Set laws and policies to shape how your kingdom operates, including taxation rules to boost income, rules for workers that keep morale high, city guard drafts to protect your population and civic decisions that change the character of your kingdom.
Every upgrade feeds into a research tree that permanently unlocks new technologies, from more advanced buildings and new policies, to stronger magic to experiment with. There’s always something worth working toward.
Unlock magic as your city advances and discover wild new possibilities, such as alchemical labs and magical academies that add a whole new dimension to how your kingdom operates.
Trade with strange new lands to build resources and grow your economy. Recruit soldiers as your realm expands to protect what you’ve built. There’s a world of wonder to discover as your empire grows.

Reviews
It's a cute little game, that I 100%ed in about 13 hours. Some of the quests were frustrating because they directly reduce your resource generation. My other gripe is with the "congestion" debuff. There is no way to remove it, and by the end it was reducing my citizen happiness by 40%.

It's a point and click city builder with quests goals and I can't wait to see what they add next. I'd add more trade and the choice to annex another kingdom but that's me not the creator. Again so far 10/10
Idle clicker chill de los buenos, very nice
Completing this game for the first time made me emotional. This is one of the first times I can say I've taken the time to sit through the credits of a game because it was truly that enjoyable. If you're a fan of clicker style games, this is a phenomenal world builder that kept me going. I finished this game within two days because I just couldn't put it down. Ben truly did such a fantastic job on this game!
Amazing game, but unfortunately extremely short. I was able to beat it in 1 sitting in 8 hours. This game could easily have been tailored to a 1 week to 1 month length.
Wonderfully cozy game; since the days where I played Warcraft III and Starcraft II, I've always loved games with progressive upgrades that you can see. Hearth & Hamlet does that, I spent a full 16 hours playing through start to finish on the lowest difficulty, and am currently going through to see if I can 100% the achievements. There are a couple things that I'd like to see changed/bugfixed, as well: - I'm not certain what causes it, but clicking the buttons to assign workers will assign multiple at once after a certain point, even when I just want to send one to a given resource. Makes it more difficult to manage everything. - At the end of the game, I'd like it if the big blue buttons could go away once all the research is complete, or have an option to hide them in the menu so that I can just look at the town without a HUD getting in the way. - If possible, I'd like to be able to pin more than a single construction project to the side of the screen to keep track of quests that involve upgrading multiple buildings. - When you have a lot of effects (taxes, policies, etc) running at the same time, it obscures the HUD of townsfolk and workers, so I'd potentially like to see a cap on that, and perhaps a dropdown menu button to click if you want to see all the concurrent effects. - Once you complete all of the research upgrades for a given building, I'd like the tab in the book to be greyed out so I don't have to click on it and search for what I'm missing. - On the final Hunting research page, there's a duplicate option for beast loot. I'm uncertain if that's meant to be an upgrade of the earlier option or an error. Overall, excellent game that I'll be continuing to play when I just want to relax.
This was a really fun, relaxing and intuitive game. Would recommend to anyone. Ps: Its been 3 days since I completed it. Im suffering withdrawls. I need more.
Great game. Increment gaming style at his best :) It take about 8h to complete.
