Heart of Moon: The Mask of Seasons (Match-3) There are separate sliders for music and sound, plus the option of playing timed (can be changed at any time). This is a match-3 games that starts off with a hidden object scene. If you hate finding hidden objects, don't worry - there are only a few scattered throughout the game. GAMEPLAY: The match-3 boards are small-to-medium in size, and will take you anywhere between a minute to three minutes each to complete, I'd say. Clear all of the silver and gold tiles to pass each level. Prepare to replay levels multiple times if you're playing timed! The colored tiles are trapped, and they can help or hinder, but you never know which it will be until you make a match over the tile. Making matches of four or more will net you a super-charged game piece (bomb). Match one of these pieces to detonate it. There are multiple types of bombs, from small explosions to removing all like-pieces on the board. There are the usual ice blocks, chains, stone, earth and wooden planks that you'll have to deal with, but there's also something very different. Board Transformation. Oooo! This is something I've never seen before, and I loved it. Here's how it works: There is a button on the bottom right of the levels which will change the shape of the board, moving the pieces around. This often results in cascading matches and opening up areas to make them more accessible. The transformation button recharges quickly - I'd say in about 10 seconds. There are 200 levels, total, and every 6th level will be something besides matching:

5 Hidden Object scenes
5 spot-the-differences panes
14 "digging" levels
10 Match-3 battles
There is a HINT button available for the hidden object and spot-the-differences scenes, though they take a while to charge. Rapid mis-clicks will cost you some points. Whether you're playing timed or not makes no difference for these battles; they'll still be played in real time. Make matches as quickly as you can to fill up your meters (three types of attacks + a heal option), and click on the appropriate button to launch your attack. Your enemy will attack you every 15 seconds or so. These battles are not hard, in my opinion, so if you're nervous about the being real-time, don't let that keep you from trying the game. Gain resources (stone and wood) on the digging levels by making matches near the dirt at the bottom of the screen. I mentioned points above, so let me explain how that works. Making matches will increase your score per level, and the game tracks your overall points. There are no leaderboards, and it doesn't save your level scores, so the only point of the scores is if you're taking screens to compete against your friends. You will also earn gold coins as you play, but whether you play timed or not will not change the amount you gain. Each match-3 level is worth 200 points (at most), and if you re-play, you'll get an extra 10 gold. Gold coins, stone, wood and various items you'll find as you play are used to restore the island. Each building you restore will earn you more resources, but like the scoring system, it's rather pointless. Sure it's cool to upgrade the buildings, but you won't really need to work towards anything. Only the battle-related buffs will make any difference. When all was said and done, I had a ton of resources, and nothing to spend them on, so this part really seemed like a last-minute addition to the game. There are 20 in-game and Steam achievements The graphics are very nice, and some of the backgrounds are quite lovely! I liked the sound effects and music, and the voices seemed appropriate. There is a story, and while it's rather thin, it was enough to hold things together. Overall, I considered this an interesting and fun match-3, and recommend it to fans of the genre!
Same team, same gameplay, same [...] as Mystika 3. So, a small review only. It's again my kind of game. there's 200 levels (that includes "boss levels", "hidden object levels") which are mainly match 3 oriented. The match 3 type is the "moving a tile to align 3 or more" type. Difficulty increases as you progress through the map. There's a timed gameplay as well as a non-timed one. There are ingame bonusses that are triggered by action (align 4 or 5) once the appropriate option has been bought. There are some ingame achievements (as well as steam). I needed only one playthrough to get all achievements. Replaying a level is possible at any time. It took me something like 10+ hours to play through the whole thing, getting 3 stars for each level (that for the timed gameplay alone) I wished there was more like Mystika 3 on steam. Now there is :)
Really well balanced and fun match 3 game. The addition of a few hidden object and find the difference levels really mix things up nicely. Recommended for a fiver or even better on sale.
I'm definitely recommending "Heart of Moon: The Mask of Seasons." It's a nicely done Match 3 type of game with a totally optional level timer and plenty of levels (200). The only gripes of any significance that I have are: - The "Flash" Achievements is to finish a level in 30 seconds or less. That's just way too short. - The game gives us buildings that we're supposed to repair as we progress. But, buildings routinely become available for repair while they're off-screen. If they do that, there really should be some kind of notification. I also have some entirely insignificant complaints: - The font drops the left side of the cross bar on the letter "t". So, after every level, we get to look at something that looks like "Level Complere" instead of "Level Complete." There's also the occasional "Vicrory" instead of "Victory." Note that the words aren't really misspelled. They just look like it. - When matches happen as a result of chain reactions, they don't form any special tiles. - There's really no difficulty progression through the game. The levels at the end aren't any more difficult than the ones at the beginning. So, all my "issues" are trivial. Plus, 16.5 hours of really good gameplay (with 100% Achievements) for a list price of about $6 is excellent. Recommended.
Heart of Moon is a fantastic match three game. I thoroughly enjoyed it. 10/10.
a badly voiced intro sets up the story, then choose between timed or relax mode. separate volumes, windowed mode and a tutorial toggle are the only other settings, can't turn off the incredibly annoying, continuous glint effect, nor lightning if it's raining during a level, which would be a nice touch otherwise. I could've also done without achievement progress pop-ups, and while the end-of-level star and score counter can be skipped, the 5-second 'level complete' message can't be. 200 levels, a few are hidden object and find the difference scenes. frantic clicking (the only way to get these over with) takes away money but hints are free. no shortage of cash and besides that, there are other resources to help the inhabitants of the island, who in turn provide bonuses. typical switcheroo gameplay, matching more than 3 creates satisfying explosive tiles if matched again (a screen shake toggle would've been nice). the board gets shuffled if there are no valid moves. cascades also create matches but not power-ups. there's a quickly charging button to re-arrange some of the board for potentially easier access and matching over special trap tiles triggers helpers on the side, if any, but there are no power-ups to use directly, making things more tedious than they should be sometimes. especially when another special tile spawns more removable tiles or freezes an area. there's also combat, still within the limits of m3. matches charge your weapon, healing and spells with their respective colors, then you can trigger them. this is the only way to hurt enemies, but the bigger problem is, even in relax mode their action bar charges fast in real-time, then they hurt you. difficulty settings or game modes should address every aspect of the game, especially more divisive ones like this. I had no problem completing them but still. it's fine otherwise, takes about 10 hours, but with almost no variety, 120-150 levels would've been plenty. I'd be interested in the dev's identical mystika series as well, but only 3 and 4 are on steam and as little as story or continuity matters in games like these, I'd like to start at the beginning. might still bite at some point.
Wierny następca Mystika 3 :D
Heart of Moon : The Mask of Seasons to gra typu połącz 3 w której grając jako Clara przemierzamy krainę wraz z jej ojcem w poszukiwaniu artefaktu zwanego "Maską Pór Roku" (chyba dobrze przetłumaczyłem co nie?). RESPECT DEVS!!! Moja ocena: 10/10!!! Polecam obejrzeć mojego kuratora: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/26680263
very quick action 3-match game: you click faster than you recognize the symbols and get into a tight flow. some levels are diffrent, even some few HOG screens are in there: just nice to change the pace some times. the 200 levels game playthrough will take at least 10h!
What a nice match 3 game! :) Exactly what I needed. What I really like about the game is the relaxed mode, which you can switch on or off at any time. If you like a little bit of challenge - play the timed mode, if not - relaxed mode is really awesome. The levels are not too long (the longest ones took me maybe 3 minutes). 200 levels of pure joy and the addition of "find the difference" or "hidden object" stages made this game even better to me! The graphics are really nice and the music is just wonderful. The only tiny minus is the story...It is kinda weak (and yes...the main character does remind me of Lara Croft), but then again...many match 3 games don't have any stories. I highly recommend Heart of Moon: The Mask of Seasons to anyone that likes to relax with a nice casual game. 9,9/10
