I got this game really cheap cause of sales and that's why I don't regret the purchase. It doesn't deserve the money in normal price though cause it is sooooo short. Finished it in like an hour or so. Also, it was way too easy and I could use infinite hints and skips which is lame. Didn't struggle with any puzzle.... I recommend it though cause the art was nice and the story was okay. I am not super happy with it but I've played worse.
kinda meh, art was good
Duration : 4.1 hours (I'm surprised looking at reviews with only 2 hours, I didn't waste time and used "Hint" only once). Difficulty level : easy GOOD Truly easy (in easy mode) Easy puzzles An "Area cleared" indication as soon as you have done everything possible in a screen, I enjoyed this feature a lot because that prevents frustration of revisiting everything to click everywhere just in case you could have missed something, and this gives you a real sense of progression and "clean" areas. Classic haunted house with a curse, it's certainly not original but still the best natural place for emotional horror and sad family stories. Nothing scary or gross, no cheap visual or audio jump-scares. A hint system if you are stuck (I used it only once). An original and simple past-present travel system in areas. Few areas of a manor and obvious transitions between them. Hidden objects screens were well designed and fair, you won't waste time searching forever for nearly invisible objects (some objects you know in their modern version look weird because they are from the past, so it adds some realism) NEUTRAL The many usual absurdities of many adventure games, especially hidden objects ones, but eh that makes a big part of their quaint charm, but nothing nasty or frustrating. Ambient sounds were scarce but well done, a bit more sound effects would have been nice. You can skip cutscenes (but they are very few and very short anyway). BAD There was once a warning message of a display script error, I just clicked the message and I could continue playing. Some hidden objects were misspelt (interverted letters so it wasn't an issue to identify the objects). The game takes more than 1 minute in Steam to stop after quitting. The scenario is simplistic and obvious and you understand what's happening very soon. The few animations are poor (a sequence of fixed images) CONCLUSION : Good game, I enjoyed it. I rate it at 8/10. It's exactly what I wanted : an easy, quick, generic haunted place with hidden objects and without frustrating puzzles. I may replay it at harder levels if I find the time.
Apart from the relatively old graphics, it's still decent to play.
i don't remember hating this one, but i don't remember liking it either.
I really loved this game & for the price I paid it was amazing! Highly Recommend It!
Страшилка.
The game is good, but the rest of it is so frustrating.
You can't change the resolution!! I have to smack my face against the screen yet still can barely see anything clearly. It's SO freaking small!!! The game just squeezes into the corner of my screen, AND it's a game for finding hidden objects. How do you expect me to find those things if you won't let me seeeee!!!
That game was a great surprise as i got it very cheap on sale and thought it would be more simple in terms of quality and presentation, but i'm glad i was wrong It has one of best gothic horror atmospheres i've ever seen in a HoG, each screen is very beautful to admire for a good time before starting looking for itens Its an easy game, even on advanced difficulty and has a good flow, since you get an "area completed" check for each screen , so even if you dont know exactly what to do next, there's no need to go everywhere to see if you missed something way back Short, no bonus chapter, but worth
