I'm very worried that Hardspace: Shipbreaker is the best simulation game I'll ever play. It's a perfect synthesis of hard sci-fi hypercapitalism and creative game design. Shipbreaking in this game is as immensely satisfying to pull off correctly as it is visceral when you fat-finger a piece of metal through your helmet. The visuals are excellent and the soundtrack is a great example of the ever-elusive genre of interstellar bluegrass.
Good game for chilling destroying ships or the disassembly of them. If you enjoyed games like power wash simulator you will enjoy this one as well. short campaign if you bother with it, you don't have to it isn't necessary for the game but alas you do you.
Game is a lot of fun. I just put on my headset, and get to work, try not to die, and make sure I salvage enough to get out of debt. Just like any other day.
amazing atmosphere, vibe, music. the game being split into 15 minute segments makes it a great time killer, or smth to play before bed!! oh and irl debt simulator
relaxing game about sorting your trash into recyclables, non recyclables, and hazardous waste. I wish there were more ship types and overall variety, but hopefully there will be soon with the IP acquirement. not much action, but that's not what the game's about so no points off for it despite going in thinking there would be. will return when there's new stuff, or when I feel like taking a couple hours to disassemble a gecko
It's a well made very fun futuristic work simulator, with very good art lead. Progression feels good, story is also very detailed and it really makes you feel like a part of the world.
Es lo que necesitaba, gracias
Very fun and quite cathartic at times. I found the story career mode pretty enjoyable. It does have a strong anti-corporatist, pro-union narrative, which (let's be honest) is a good thing to have in a game. Would recommend for anyone that finds efficient, "safe" disassembly enjoyable.
Hardspace Shipbreaker is one of those rare games that could be outstanding on the quality of its gameplay loop alone. The disassembly of the in-game spacecraft is challenging and feels dangerous, yet also manages to be incredibly satisfying when you figure out how to do it correctly. However, the finished version of the game has not only satisfying gameplay, but also a good plot that meshes perfectly with the themes inherent in taking apart huge, dangerous spacecraft. It's one of those rare games that knows exactly what it's doing, and does it well, without forcing the gameplay loop to significantly change to serve a solid plot with a good message.
