Happy Penguin VR

My overview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDL6TGUIDjA The game is better than I thought it would be. I thought it would be only batting penguins. But after you bat them you get to guide them in flight via a glider, and when they land on snow via a snowmobile! You get item upgrades that further increases the travel distance of the penguins. I ran into a few hiccups here and there. I felt like the rings were a little too low. I always found myself flying higher than all of the cool stuff down below. It still exceeded my expectations and is good all around fun. Could see this being a great game for kids.

So I got this on sale for .69 cents. Instant buy! Just kidding, well no, I actually did buy it for solely those reasons. [u] The good news is that it works on the Oculus Rift with Touch controllers, but the controls are overly cumbersome and complicated [/u]. Basically, penguins line up and you have to bat them with a bat. If you hit the penguin correctly, you can control it's glide path. You do so by gaze control, i.e. you have to look where you want the penguin to go. You can also at this time use powerups to make it go farther, e.g. using a hang glider to go farther. You can collect coins and go through hoops. By doing so you can upgrade your bats or get powerups. I strongly suggest the first thing you do is to upgrade your bat, those are permanent and make the game much easier. You can teleport. You have to teleport. But on the Oculus Rift with Touch controllers, it's a pain in the butt to do so. Here's what you have to do, and no, I'm not kidding. This dev actually chose this button mapping, I think he hates Oculus users. Anyways, you have to: 1. Press Y or B (this turns on a red pointer to where you can sometimes teleport) 2. Press trigger and click on the joystick simultaneously and hold 3. Make sure the red pointer curves down on the ground otherwise you won't teleport 4. Release 5. Congrats, you have now teleported, and you can curse the dev now The good news is that even though you'll be upset and frustrated by trying to teleport which you have to do to get the bat and to hit the penguins... is that you get to unleash your anger and frustration on said penguins. Thus making you an even better player at this game. Channel this anger towards hitting those penguins as hard as you can. And profit. GG. Rating 6.9 / 11 ... it's only .69 cents now, just think of that before rating

PLAYER GAMING REQUIREMENTS: 💼VR 💼Indie VERDICT: I really struggled to understand this game, the controls are confusing and 9 times out of 10 you don't get the choice to control the penguin, you need to hit a perfect shot in order to control the penguin and that can be a challenge up until the point you get a better bat. I can't complain much since it's a very cheap game but I wouldn't recommend getting the game with the state it's in right now, it looks like the devs have ditched the game aswell. Total Score = 29/100. GAMEPLAY: Hitting a penguin as far as you can and buying upgrades to take it further. ■■□□□□□□□□ 2 / 10 Please don't ACTUALLY hit a penguin with a bat.

Un petit jeu vr sympatique le but c'est d'envoyer le pingouin le plus loin possible avec ou sans l'aide d'objet bonus, mais le jeu deviens très très vite répétitif Graphiquement il est beau et agréable à joué

Not many things in life or afterlife make my mom happy. This is one of those few things. Amazing genius, pure happiness exists here. Empty your wallets. An obvious guide would be nice, but so far this is pure joy and possibly the reason VR was invented.
