just started...... has a cool "Omori" feel too it. love the graphic style. really digging the soundtrack. horror jrpg lite. I will update more in the future. I just wanted to help the game developers. 7.5/10

Happy Bones is like a beautiful fever dream that continued to surprise me and simultaneously disgust me all the way through. You won't forget this game for sure, I've never played anything quite like it!

If this isn't the definition of a hidden gem, I don't know what is.

Happy Bones is a horror RPG that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat as you progress through it. Not because there are jump scares or that it is overall gorey; but due to the fact you cannot wait to see what is behind that next door, what enemy you might run in to or what secret you might discover. The artwork in this game is stunning. Hand drawn images straight out of a fever dream you had a child that still give you shivers to this day. The soundtrack is eerie and beckons you to go deeper in to the madness. The mechanics are those of a classic RPG. There are 3 classes, multiple weapons and items and endless enemies to give you nightmares. I highly recommend you pick this up and give it a try. See if you can find the light at the end of the tunnel or will you succumb to the beckoning darkness...

A charming and strange rpgmaker horror-esque game filled with strange hand drawn creatures. Only complaint would be that I wish there were more interactions (or descriptions) with background objects.

The best part of the game, by far, is the creative and gruesome artwork, primarily in the enemy designs. If I'm being honest, there's not a whole let else to recommend here, but I still think it's worth the price (especially on sale). The story suffices but only just, the little character interactions and flavor text when examining items are charming but sparse, the music is nice. The combat did not do it for me. It's not bad enough to sour the rest of the game, but I found it bland and unengaging. Also, the game is not scary at all. I'd compare it to a gory Earthbound that leans more on the creepy side. This isn't a knock against it, though, I think its tone fits the rest of the game much better than if it had attempted to be legitimately frightening. Overall, Happy Bones has a lot of charm that outweighs its weaker gameplay and story. I can recommend it to fans of bizarre, almost goofy horror, as well as to fans of oddball little indie games.

Si estas leyendo esto, cómpralo, simplemente cómpralo. Acabas de encontrar una joyita oculta de los videojuegos, algo bastante especial, no lo dejes pasar. Vale el precio completo, que es bastante bajo también. No quiero entrar en detalle porque no quiero spoilear, es algo que es mejor que experimenten por su cuenta. Si en algún momento fueron o siguen siendo fans de los juegos indie RPG de horror que llegaron a ser muy populares años atrás esto es un must play. El arte puede que no le guste a algunos, pero tiene un charm que le agrega a la atmosfera bizarra que tiene el juego, no se dejen influenciar solo por eso. También disfrute bastante de la historia y de la música, es de esos juegos donde no puedes parar de jugar solo para ver que fumada te encuentras después. Por lo que vi a los devs se ve que les importa mucho el juego y aprecian a sus jugadores. Se comunican abiertamente y con entusiasmo con los jugadores, el juego recibió un episodio DLC gratuito, varios updates de balance, y justo hace dos días acaba de recibir otro update con la clase nueva "The Fool" (Que encontré bastante entretenida de usar) cuando estaba en medio de mi primer playthrough. A devs como esos dan ganas de apoyarlos. Estoy interesado en ver como sigue todo en Infernal y en ver que mas produce Frosted Fears en general. Si tienes dudas de si comprarlo o no, solo lánzate, no te vas a arrepentir.

I've only begun to scratch the surface of this game and I love the atmosphere and the enemy designs. I would have liked a better explanation of what each character is like going in. I chose The Fool and I feel like I may want to restart. Great game so far though.
