this game got me into the halo series. Finished the master chief collection after, unbelievable games! the multiplayer is a 10/10 for me so fun,
Best FPS in 2026.
Ill be honest, the game isn't terrible anymore, like its worth playing or at least trying again. I first played this game when it came out, and I couldn't stand it. Ive been playing alot of MCC lately and was kinda curious about how this game was now. At first I was really hesitant to give it another shot, I kept clicking download and then canceling it; before finally deciding to just try it again, and im glad I did. The worse part is all the micro transactions, but at least they allow you to earn items by just playing via the exchange. As someone whos played all the older halo games, and still does to this day; I do enjoy the gameplay of this one, and think many of the changes where for the better.

Still the premier arena shooter out there. Tons of fun.
I believe that Halo Infinite is a necessary step in the right direction for returning Halo to its former glory, with Multiplayer becoming accessible for PC players, something that used to be an early-halo-only thing, up until the Master Chief Collection. It was a welcome change, and introduced many people to Halo as a franchise, as well as provided a sort of opener for people who wanted to *really* play it. I do believe that the gunplay is very satisfying, and while I'm not too familiar with Halo Infinite's campaign, I believe the multiplayer component is well designed, and has the opportunity to bring limitess fun. However, this does not save Halo Infinite from the mountain of criticisms I have. There are many problems with Halo Infinite in its current state. Just like MCC, Infinite requires you to connect and log into an Xbox account. While if I were to give every game that criticism, many games would suffer review wise, I feel that Halo Infinite in particular deserves a mention, because Microsoft has a horrible ecosystem that is known to be filled with AI slop and hostile, half-functional and constantly breaking technology. My criticisms, however, do not end here. On PC, Halo Infinite has some of the most god awful, unpleasant load times of a game that I have ever been witness to. You would think this would be limited to a regular Hard Drive (which is still a popular game format, and in my opinion still an essential storage medium that SSDs can never replace). However I have an M.2 in my computer, and even with the game installed onto that, the game took up to 5 whole minutes to get past the first loading screen after the splash, when you hit 'Play'. If anything, I think this even surpasses the original Grand Theft Auto V on seventh generation consoles. And that is a feat impressive, for a game with only a ~40 GB install size, just for the multiplayer alone. Halo Infinite is an amazing game, and while I understand people would not like it, I enjoyed the gunplay and was very satisfied with the shooting of many weapons. However, the loading times *alone* make the game awful, and something I hope I never have to touch again. And it will never get better. Please, fix this broken game, or at least save others the grace of having to deal with this garbage.
All I ever heard was that Halo is greatest game ever. ♥♥♥♥ that lol, I tried it and it is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pathetic. No wonder why xbox fanboys praised it. This is dog$hit. Go play a real fps instead.
Halo murio en reach
Overall, I can't say that I recommend playing the Campaign. I think the story is lackluster and overall gameplay wasn't very good, not to mention that the story itself was very short. There were aspects that I did like such as the grapple was a nice way to move around the map. But I think that everything else was not balanced. I felt that the weapons were too powerful and the vehicles were too weak. It would take a surprisingly fast amount of shots to destroy any vehicle, and a lot of the weapons could easily just one tap. Honestly, I just didn't enjoy playing this game compared to the other Halo games. Hopefully it gets better in the sequel.
Just wasn't the game I wanted, it tried to throwback and re-iterate but modernize everything but failed to meet expectations after a certain point
