So far the outlook of the game for me is positive? I can't say it's like a masterpiece or anything like that but it's 'fun' and that's enough for me. It's definitely got the cheesy movie horror vibes. Some people say it's a broken mess. Well, one man's trash is another man's treasure.
7/10 — mostly because of the technical issues. These developers keep making games based on some of the biggest, most mainstream classic horror franchises out there, yet somehow their games themselves are not for modern mainstream. This is a niche product. And that's both its biggest strength and its biggest weakness. It will absolutely find its own fanbase, but once the initial hype dies down and all that's left is a small group of stubborn franchise fans keeping the servers alive, things will probably get pretty depressing. That's a problem for later. Right now? The game is good. The visuals, cinematic presentation, authenticity, atmosphere — all of it is great. Just like with their previous games, it feels like you've been dropped straight into a classic slasher movie, complete with a bunch of borderline-caricature victims trying not to get killed by some horrifying psycho. That's the whole point. That's why we love this stuff. Gameplay-wise, it feels like they took the best parts of Friday the 13th, rebuilt them around Halloween, and then actually added some new ideas of their own. You can tell they've learned a few things since 2017. If you played Friday the 13th ten years ago, this will feel immediately familiar. In a good way. And yes, just like Friday the 13th, there is some technical things here. But it is absolutely nowhere near the kind of disaster some of the negative reviews make it out to be. Calling this game "literally unplayable" is just nonsense. The actual gameplay works, and whether you win or lose is not determined by bugs. Not enough polished that's a right word If you love Halloween and you enjoy multiplayer horror games, you'll probably get exactly what you came for. This is not some forever-game. It's a game you jump into because you want to catch that Halloween vibe, the tension, the dumb horror-movie moments, and a good emotions. So enjoy it while the playerbase is still alive.

Honestly, I see the potential but nah. Another IP killer flop from publisher Gun and IllFonic. - the cancel input can be unresponsive. - Michael kicked me out of the car and I just got stuck there, unable to move. - I try to shove Michael and nothing, I can't save my friend or the NPCs. - At some point, the player bugged out Michael's phase ability and now he's invisible for life. - The spawn rate of items and weapons can be surprisingly lucky or abysmally awful. - First person driving is horrible, you can't even see behind you. - NPCs can act so dumb when asked to follow and proceed to either shove you, do stuff they're not even meant to be done like searching everything in their nearest position. They even lock the doors, locking you out. - The fear mechanic is nice... Until you fear michael every second to the point it's unplayable, can't aim, can't hit or shove. So I just watch npcs and friends die because my character is too afraid. It's worse when you're a cop and can't do nothing. - The kill animations are neat too but we should really have the ability to cancel the animations. The game needs serious work, not a simple hotfix. Actual rethink the whole thing and fix the thing with a mega update or something
"Death has come to your little town, Sheriff."
Yet another game where you need to play with DLSS and low graphic settings just to barely get 60 fps unless you have a NASA supercomputer, because apparently optimisation isn't needed when AI upscaling exists nowadays. The survivor gameplay comes down to talking to NPCs (skillcheck simulator) and relying on the NPCs hilariously stupid AI, not to mention the crazy amount of bugs that come with it. The best way to win on Myers is to literally ignore players and just kill all the NPCs making it incredibly boring for both sides. The only time when its worth to kill a player is reality tearing right on top of someone and instant grabbing them and if noone is with them they just die, forcing them to wait for 20 minutes spectating unless they get respawned which is mostly RNG (and they cant even leave the match or they lose all XP). Kinda my fault for even buying a game made by illfonic and GUN, but surely they will update the game and not abandon it right?
This game scratches an itch that I haven't gotten since F13 the game. There are things that aren't perfect, but I'm certain Illfonic work on balancing and other things as time goes on!
massa
buggy mess, you need to make NPC escape to win games but the AI is just so messy, lots of bugs , could have been an easy slam dunk if they just re made friday the 13th with halloween skins but they had to include NPC and other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. i regret pre ordering, will not again with this company
After the latest update, playing as Michael Meyers feels like an introduction to being r cuckolded. His movements are like a bumbling drunk, he really doesn't pose a threat anymore. And as insult to injury, stalking has also gotten a debuff, any range while stalking makes the whole mechanic pointless. The game was fun, but at this point the game is basically rage bait.
