I mean killing people with medieval weaponry isn't for everyone, but I enjoyed it and beat the baron, time to beat em again to see if I get anything different :)

basically the potential man of medieval games the combat is addictive and fun but it is still early access so its buggy and clunky at times with some lag
the game really turned itself around from the first release
after a really good demo and open beta, this game had a very underwelming early access launch. it is improving and i trust the devs will make it a great games. as of right now i have 3 big concerns tho. 1) even if the performance improved a lot since release it is still not perfect and will lag hard with more characters on screen, i noticed this sometimes ends up making your character implode when you get too close to an enemy with very low framerate. 2) the freeplay kinda sucks, the open beta version was way better. 3) as of right now abyss is terrible, the zombies are just too strong and hard to kill and most of the crates around the area are always empty. the fight with the first boss took me like 10 minutes of hit and run as it would just not go down and if it gets too close you are just done.
Once you get good at it, it's great
Funny, immersive and cool medival fighting game. 10/10
very fun game, even better when you play it properly with techniques, Every move you do is controlled by you. That what got me into this game, As of writing this I have 250 plus hours on the early access, and the demo. Cant wait to see the game improve with time as the devs move foward to a full release!
Half Sword is probably some of the most fun I've had with a medieval combat simulator, not to mention how insanely brutal it is. It definitely has a lot of promise for its future and while I do enjoy this game, it's not without its issues - in particular optimisation and bugs. Performance becomes a real problem when fighting multiple enemies at once, where FPS begins to tank especially as you eliminate each foe. Weapons can sometimes fling or get caught even. When launching the game, there's a chance the game will stop responding and I have to ALT+F4 and re-launch. One thing I actively dislike is the Abyss, it's very poorly implemented and you'll find yourself having a real difficult time dealing with zombies that will overthrow you with ease. Despite the current flaws, it does have pros where I've found the customization to be interesting with plenty of options and loadout choices. I know there seems to be a gripe with the combat physics but I actually don't have a problem with it personally and I've found each weapon type rather uncomplicated to use; in fact, I've found unarmed combat scenarios very amusing, just swinging hands at a rapid speed can turn your battle into pure comedy. Do I recommend Half Sword? Yes and no, probably not at the moment but nevertheless the experience can be fun but the current issues can make the experience annoying to an extent. But I would say it's worth giving the game a go if you're interested.
