Become the champion of the Arena by besting your opponents in various brawls and tournaments. Prepare for an unparalleled combat experience where your every move matters. All animations and maneuvers are meticulously designed with a strong foundation in realism.
Your control over weapons is genuine, as we have crafted a combat system based on the expertise and feedback of Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) practitioners and sword fencers. Through this dynamic system, players can immerse themselves in the intricacies of swordplay and learn the art of the game's combat mechanics.
Survive bloody battles to gain renown and claim wealth to buy new equipment or forge your own armor and weapons tailored to your combat style. Feeling confident? Bet on your success to potentially boost your earnings and further your progress.

Every story needs an end, and in Half Sword, it often means losing your head - quite literally. As this is a simulation game, death is final…
Be Warned: Half Sword is an extremely violent and gory game. I mean… we do have a Chief Blood Officer. Witness skull-crushing blows, limb decapitations, and gruesome displays of entrails and bloodshed, all intricately tied to the weapon and armor choices of both you and your opponents.

Could the developers learn how to code the ai actually fighting? The game is good but all the ai seems capable of doing is using halfsword mode and walking into you or trying to grab you. So much good here but the coder who did the npc fighting ai did a garbage job. Pretty much makes the rest of jank that you'd expect from a physics game untolerable.
So much better than demo. Devs really make great decisions with the direction of the game. The trailer was peak and lore is really interesting. For me personally it's a little too brutal, but still very enjoyable and fun. Don't be surprised that the game works bad on weak machine like a lot of surprised kiddos do because they thought that game based entirely on in game physics will work on their 15 yo computer.
This game has major negatives that make me not want to play the game longer than 5 minutes, hence why I have 3 hours only. You break your bones way to easily no matter the slider you change, it feels like a baby trying to walk for the first time. Speaking of sliders, even when you turn the "Player Damage" slider all the way down, they can still one shot you with their fist like they are once punch man. It is insanely sad how they can make their official game worse than the demo. If you are looking for an actual fun experience of this game, PLAY THE DEMO. Yes I get it, it's early access, but at the same time it feels like you're not listening to the negatives. You can't run from them no matter what you do. I'm tired of accidentally snapping my bones when I slightly trip in the Slums, or can't kill a guy with an axe while he's wearing cloth. Wake up people, this game needs major fixing.
muy buen juego pero por favor arreglen las rodillas, queres caminar y se rompe, ademas el mapa en el que peleas sobre una tabla esta muy mal echo
great game, plays exactly like the demo now and i consistently get 100+ fps on epic settings
fun game great mechanics. cant save :( I can grind for 3 hours to get high in the ranks then either the game will crash or ill just be done and have to reset all over next time. friend doesn't have this problem, don't know a fix
1 play as goofy bald man and commit war crimes 2 get this game become hairy man and commit war crimes or in other words Willie became William
This game is really good. one of, if not the best sandbox fighting games on steam.
