Your control over weapons is genuine, as we have crafted a combat system based on the expertise and feedback of Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) practitioners and sword fencers. Through this dynamic system, players can immerse themselves in the intricacies of swordplay and learn the art of the game's combat mechanics.
Survive bloody battles to gain renown and claim wealth to buy new equipment or forge your own armor and weapons tailored to your combat style. Feeling confident? Bet on your success to potentially boost your earnings and further your progress.

Every story needs an end, and in Half Sword, it often means losing your head - quite literally. As this is a simulation game, death is final…
Be Warned: Half Sword is an extremely violent and gory game. I mean… we do have a Chief Blood Officer. Witness skull-crushing blows, limb decapitations, and gruesome displays of entrails and bloodshed, all intricately tied to the weapon and armor choices of both you and your opponents.

With every new update, it feels like there's a new glitch or bug to be addressed, or an old bug that has been exacerbated beyond any reason. Using polearms sometimes results in your own character having their arms broken or even stabbed with the pommel of said polearm. The bone fragility (even if set to low) seems to be far too exaggerated at times, and it can result in your character just having their legs suddenly break from the slightest impact. Impact for certain weapons feel like they have been largely reduced, and shields - even from glancing blows that go OVER them - still mitigate a lot of impact which results in extremely tanky enemies.
Yeah its pretty cool, I like cutting and stabbing, and smashing and blood spewing and like hearing the bones CRACK its nice game very peaceful
I have never been so dissapointed by a game. absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
the game has amazing realism and gives off a good kind of street fight experience in fist play, would recommend if you like overall good boxing and slamming.
great game keep improving it and make it easier to get into the cart in forest
I agree some with the criticisms, mainly the physics when it comes to weapon control but I have played the demo for a fair bit and been playing EA since launch. The difference is since day 1 is crazy good imo, and the devs have done really awesome work with the recent updates. if you played the demo and want to give ea a shot, go for it. Yes it will feel completely different but this game is really a one of a kind and I am all in on their vision of the 'ultimate medieval fighting sim'
Very fun game, can be a 7 foot 150kg chad and absolutly demolish litle dwarf characters. Highly recommend
HARK the game be saved lads!
