As someone with a money-hoarding problem, HLA has been a good impulse purchase. I've been having more fun with it so far than I would've expected. The game performs quite well on my PC, given that I have 8GB of VRAM.
Best VR game period.
Замечательная, превосходная HL Alex. Жаль, нет ближнего боя. Ещё часто при смерти я не мог загрузиться на следующий уровень, приходилось перезагружать SteamVR и саму игру.
My friend played this game for about half an hour on the PS VR2 (with the crappy PC adapter), testing out the physics. I, however, have never played it before. I’m currently waiting for the Steam Frame to release (if it ever does), so I can finally play this. A lot of people are highly recommending this game, so I recommend it too, even though I’ve never played it before.
ran real smooth for how good the graphics were. the story was honestly short. by the time i got to the end i didnt realize it was the end. once the credits rolled i said to myself "so this is it? i beat it already?" the game was lively through the whole run through. honestly i was really sad that I had so much ammo at the last part of the game. without spoiling it, i will just say that i wish i shot more and was less scared of running out. the ammo was scarce throughout the game so i always conserved it. but i guess i over did it. I dont think this is like a redefining game or anything like what most reviews say. it was good but i didnt like the controls. I did change the controls, but I still didn't personally like them as much as I enjoyed other game's controls. however, the gravity gloves were definitely a highlight. i think that was the best thing this game offered. i got a ton of grenades. but it was all for nothing in reality. it hurt holding them, but i thought if the game was giving me 10 grenades then surely i should keep them. after all, returning to a previous area is not possible. but none of that mattered in the long run. i just wish i knew i that before spending time collecting all of them either by tossing them around or consolidating my wrist inventory. honestly, a lot of the gimmicks the game offered like collecting resin and grenades felt like a huge waste in the end of it all. all this is considering i beat the game with *too much stuff*. the problem isnt that i had more than enough. it was that i wasnt really having fun constantly looking for resin out of fear i will need the upgrades, i would hack stuff just to get like a health pen thing i didnt need at all... so much effort for so little. it was all a waste of time. not rewarding unless there was ammo. i didnt like how sometimes inconsistent killing crabs was; if you played this game you should have some understanding on what i mean. i wish there was a consistent death sound. maybe im just spoiled but it was tricky for me to tell when i actually killed something. i honestly had more fun playing through the first boneworks than this. half life alyx's story was far better but just purely gameplay wise, i liked my time in boneworks way more. i still recommend it because it does more good than bad. but i wanted to offer a different perspective on this game compared to what everyone else is typing here. thank you for reading
