im sure the game was made with love but the controls are so buns. i just started playing and already the dash takes forever to recover, the time between input and actual attack feels like eternity, guessing like 300ms of something, and the downtime between attacks also take too long. the movements arent fluid and the choice of colors make alot of elements hard to distinguish. also some ui is pixelated and others just standard so very off kills the imersiveness
Loved it, managed to get to nearly 90% completion before getting double jump and the hook, I didn't realize I could use the bomb to break the ground so I abused Blink, Ball and Pogos to get stuff I wasn't intended to get, that's just perfect if you ask me, clearly made by someone that played Hollow Knight and understood the formula. The only bad thing I can't think of is that I wish it was denser, it has plenty of areas but they lack density, I would buy Haiku 2 on a hearthbeat if it was twice as dense, I really enjoyed it but I also wanted more content. On a more technical note, for some reason it gives you a warning saying that it may not work on a modern version of MacOS that does not support 32 bits software, it worked just fine. The map is a bit broken on a 16:10 display but it does not affect gameplay at all.
Good exploration and movement! I found the weapon swing very sluggish and difficult to get used to. Overall the bosses I thought were quite easy - only the last two took me more than 2 attempts. That being said, when I did a second playthrough without getting wrench, chips, or health upgrades I found the last 5 required bosses to be reasonably challenging and the game overall MUCH more challenging to explore. Overall a nice Metroidvania - I can see the inspiration from Hollow Knight but honestly I think that Team Cherry was taking notes because Silksong seems to have borrowed many elements from this game as well.
good game
