Hacknet is an immersive, terminal-based hacking simulator for PC. Dive down a rabbit hoIe as you follow the instructions of a recently deceased hacker, whose death may not have been the accident the media reports.

Hacknet is the best game you can play if you like computers, i honestly got crying with both endings(normal and labyrinths), its the best buy you can make, it makes you feel like a real hacker, and the workshop/community extensions just make you play another history made by the creators so you can play your favourite game again with a competely changed history. Best game of my life. 10/10. Thank you Matt Trobbiani.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The best game of history
特nb
This game is amazing and really engaging. I ended up completing the entire game, including the Labyrinth DLC, in under two days. The concept is very creative, the puzzles are well-designed, and I really dig the overall aesthetic. Now, on to the bad stuff: 1. The UI and graphics feel slightly broken. Depending on the font size you choose in the settings, text can overflow or end up with incorrect alignment and padding. Fullscreen mode also sometimes feels unreliable, and the lack of borderless mode doesn’t help. 2. I’m not a fan of the secondary terminal that launches alongside the game. I’m not sure whether it’s a technical limitation or a design choice, but either way it feels out of place and a bit unprofessional, and it also interferes with Alt+Tab. 3. There’s no SFX volume slider—you can only adjust the music volume. 4. As the game progresses and you discover more nodes, it becomes quite difficult to keep track of what’s what, even after unlocking that one program in the DLC that helps organize the node layout. A better navigation system (or something as simple as querying for already discovered nodes by name) would go a long way. Overall, the base game and its DLC are definitely worth picking up, and I hope Matt releases a new DLC or a sequel soon.
best "hacking" simulator, uses actual linux commands, story is pretty good, 10/10 would recommend
softlocked and ruined my save file because of a stupid bug. great
