Reviews
I like Gunman Tales to some degree, but it's not enough for a recommendation. The art is fine, even nice if retro is your thing. The atmosphere is there, we have many shops and encounters (most of it lifted from Moonstone: A Hard Day’s Knight on Amiga from 1991, and there are some Atari-inspired mini-games), but what's missing is fun gameplay. It's held back, as mentioned by many others, by bad controls and the prevalence of bugs. For example, achievements may or may not pop (even unearned ones). The game regularly hangs on NPC turns (I press ESC/Pause or restart the game to get past it most of the time). Hitboxes are all over the place, worst controller support ever... yeah, things like that. The game is barely playable with the default setup. It works much better with mouse aim and remapped keys. The game tries to move into the zone on the highest difficulty, but not even that is enough to keep me entertained. And then the other negative aspects kick in. Overall, the lack of refinement and dull gameplay kill it for me.
For the Arcades classics lovers. Back to the 90's. Controls could be better. Perhaps playing with mouse and keyboard is better than pad. Arcade mode is recommended to start since Adventure mode it having a sort of turn per turn phase with a 1 shot per player which does not help to get used to the controls. Overall the game is fast paced. It is rich enough in environments and details. Full price is probably a bit high. 5$ should be enough. You will most probably not spend hours on it.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Good game for its price, but recommended to play on a controller
good game
Something like ''blood bros.'' arcade. Very simple and nice game. It has some additions but, it has the same old school feel.
It is an interesting concept. I've played mostly the arcade game mode with my wife and that was just as how I'd imagine it in an old arcade - very fun! The adventure mode seemed to be interesting too, but it wasn't something that my wife not could enjoy so I spared it for a later time for only myself. The arcade mode wasn't brutally hard, but still offered a great deal of challenge, too - I think we got only to the fourth level.
A fun little Wild Guns clone with some basic adventure game and RPG elements tossed in.
