This is a real hidden gem, it's chaotic and hilarious. Rolling around is very satisfying and killing the bugs is almost therapeutic. There are way more elements to it than I first thought too and the gun customisation is so cool, you can basically make Borderlands style guns. Runs great on my Steam Deck.

A fun, chaotic little twin-stick shooter with a lot of heart put into it. It’s the first game from a new indie studio, and while it’s still early days, there’s already a solid foundation here, and more importantly, it’s genuinely fun in its current state. Yes, I did get an early copy for free, so unfortunately I can’t buy it myself. But I’ll be picking up a copy for my kids — they’ve been begging me to play it. That should say enough.

Gung Beetle is a fun and deceptively deep roguelike (roguelite?) about rolling around and laying waste to your foes before going base-building and gun shopping from the safety of your ball. If you like blasting waves and numbers going up to the backdrop of a stylised, highly quality art style, you'll enjoy Gung Beetle.

Wow! I am lucky to found this Gem on steam, so many cool weapons i can choose and the enemy bugs just coming waves after waves non stop! if you like to play top down shooting games then this one will definitely worth to give it a go!

If you love poop and guns this is the game for you! 10/10 would recommend

Gung Beetle is a charming and engaging take on the Roguelite Genre, with a varied supply of weapon parts allowing for several hours of gameplay, with different weapon combinations, and optimizations at your disposal. Overall, Gung Beetle is a game I would recommend to a casual roguelite player, with runs typically lasting around the 30 - 40 minute mark, depending on your skill level, and progression.

A fantastic little rogue-lite filled with heaps of choice. Being able to choose the various components of BOTH of your guns as well as the ammo types can lead to some hilarious outcomes. From explosives sending you across the map, to machine gun recoil sending you backwards there's a heap of fun to be had.

Yeah it's got the juice. Dev updated today, and I had another run after not playing for awhile. Great gun and explosion sound effects. Bonkers amount of guns you can end up with. Chaos all around. Nice maps to explore at your own pace before moving on.
