Yo this is kinda jank, in it's current state it's beta/demo quality. Dev abandoned this one :/
Gun Crazy, developed by Ritual Games and published by GrabTheGames, is a compact yet energetic run-and-gun shooter that wears its arcade inspirations proudly. From the outset, it delivers a no-nonsense experience that emphasizes speed, reflexes, and the kind of tight gameplay loops that defined the side-scrolling shooters of the late eighties and early nineties. Instead of bogging players down with narrative or elaborate systems, it offers a streamlined focus on action, pattern recognition, and fast-paced encounters that test both reaction time and perseverance. The game puts you in the role of a determined policewoman fighting her way through waves of robotic enemies and increasingly intense boss battles. Across four stages, the action unfolds quickly, rarely giving you time to breathe. The mechanics are simple—run, jump, shoot, dodge—but the design ensures that these straightforward tools are pushed to their limits. Enemies swarm in predictable but challenging patterns, forcing you to learn when to hold your ground and when to maneuver. Boss fights in particular are a highlight, demanding memorization of attack sequences and precise timing to survive. Visually, Gun Crazy embraces pixel art aesthetics with colorful sprites, bold character designs, and an old-school presentation that fits its arcade ambitions. Explosions and projectiles fill the screen in familiar yet satisfying ways, and while the level environments don’t offer a wide range of variety, they do a solid job of setting the stage for the relentless firefights. The soundtrack and effects lean heavily into retro stylings as well, with upbeat chiptune-inspired music driving the pace forward and gunfire effects punctuating the chaos. It’s not the most distinctive presentation, but it accomplishes its goal of delivering a nostalgic arcade feel. One of the game’s strongest qualities is its immediacy. There’s no long tutorial or gradual introduction—players are thrown straight into the action. This makes it accessible to those who want quick, engaging bursts of gameplay without a steep learning curve. At the same time, the difficulty ramps up quickly, and while the stages are short, they demand focus and trial-and-error learning. This makes Gun Crazy particularly appealing to players who enjoy mastering levels through repetition, refining their performance until they can tackle encounters cleanly and efficiently. On the other hand, its brevity is one of its biggest weaknesses. With only four stages, the game can be completed in a single sitting, and while replay value exists through score chasing or trying to perfect runs, there is little new content to discover once the stages are learned. Power-ups and temporary weapon upgrades add some variation to the combat, but they don’t dramatically alter the core gameplay loop. As a result, the experience can feel thin for those hoping for more substantial content or a longer progression arc. The challenge itself may also divide players. While veterans of retro shooters may appreciate the intensity and unforgiving nature of the encounters, others may find the difficulty spikes frustrating. The margin for error is slim, and taking damage often feels punishing when combined with the scarcity of resources and short supply of helpful power-ups. This design choice reinforces the arcade roots of the game, but it may not appeal to players who prefer modern balancing or more forgiving mechanics. Despite its limitations, Gun Crazy succeeds at what it sets out to do: deliver a compact, affordable dose of retro action. It is the kind of game that works best in short sessions, offering bursts of adrenaline without requiring a large time investment. Its simplicity, challenge, and retro presentation give it a certain charm that will resonate most strongly with fans of old-school arcade shooters. While it won’t satisfy those looking for depth, story, or longevity, it’s an enjoyable throwback experience that captures the spirit of classic run-and-gun action in a stripped-down, budget-friendly package. ну такое, сойдет.
Y hasta aquí llega este juego para mi, controles toscos, el 90% de las veces, imput lag (que ya les vale) por suerte fue barato.
Nice game. Good controls, nice animation and art. The soundtrack slaps and the difficulty is also just perfect. I didn't beat it yet (I rarely play such games and thus suck), but I like it very much. I know it is short, but it's worth the 5€ or the 1€ I paid for it. Some people just expect to much from this game down here in the reviews. Bro it's 5 bucks. What do you want?
JUEGAZO 😎👍💛🌟
