GUILTY GEAR 2 -OVERTURE-

Weird game, never played anything like it before Crashes a lot on my pc, but seemingly only when playing online. Didn't crash once during campaign Extremely unique mix of Fighting, MOBA, Strategy, and a tiny hint of racing Downsides are there are only 7 characters, and you have to beat the campaign to unlock Ky Despite having so few characters, some of them share units. Ky and Sin have the same army, as do Valentine and Raven. 5 total armies, 7 total characters. Game is from 2008, so graphics are old. Honestly, I want to see them try this gamestyle again with a modern twist, but this one wasn't popular enough to justify it.

I think anyone with any interest in Guilty Gear, CAGs, or RTS should check out Overture. Not the best PC port, you'll need to limit FPS to 60 using an external program, there's not the expected display and resolution options, and there's lots of crashes. But underneath those relatively minor problems is an extremely engaging and unique game. The mix of Character Action and Real-Time Strategy elements stresses time management and skill like nothing else on the market. Oh yeah the campaign sucks, join the Overture discord and play online!

Is the port terrible? maybe Does it show its age? absolutely But honestly the game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome. Aside from having genuinely my favourite works from daisuke soundtrack wise, the gameplay is like absolutely nothing else. If you told me someone made a fighting game series into devil may cry, sonic the hedgehog and an RTS game at the SAME TIME i'd call you insane but here it is, and its sometimes ball bustingly difficult to juggle all three. The visual design and a lot of the soundtrack also really show a sort of precursor to the direction blazblue would split off in shortly after, and its interesting to look back at both this and calamity trigger that the arcsys character rights issue spawned and see how the series both evolved in different ways since. I wouldve loved this if i found it back when i was a kid on my 360 every day, and im still glad i found it now, even if its clunky and i wish someone would take the ideas from it and put it into a more modern polished game. And yeah im gonna say it I LIKE the dash mechanic

A very good and unique game about the Guilty Gear universe, that goes under the radar even from the series fans. It is not a fighting game, instead it is a mix between RTS, MOBA, action RPG and tower defense, with a pretty interesting story with cool and dynamic boss fights, and many characters to play, even unseen ones like Izuna. Oh yeah, and of course the soundtrack is top, as expected from a Guilty Gear game.

Deve ter sido muito bom jogar quando tava no auge agora não tem ninguém online, mesmo assim o modo campanha é muito legal por si só, algumas fases são chatas mas no geral bem consistente e a história, eu fiquei muito perdido principalmente por esse aqui não ser o jogo 2 dá linha do tempo muito menos da fránquia mas não me importei por que queria jogar ele por causa da tradução PT-BR que colocaram nele que incluisve, tá muito boa, não foi uma tradução de ChatGPT, eles adaptaram as falas e os trejeitos com que cada personagem fala, ficou ótimo! Então eu recomendo esse jogo agora mesmo que to escrevendo essa análize ele tá 7,02 reais vale a pena de mais!
