Guardian of Lore

I have been a few hours into the game and I think it is really cool. Been following the devs since this was an idea and it is really nice to see it come through to what it was meant to be. The art is really nice and it really feels like a good ol' timey platformer. Recommended!

O jogo é um jogo de plataforma 2D que lembra um pouco um jogo antigo chamado Claws A ideia do jogo de você ser um protetor de contos folclóricos que precisa entrar nos livros e salvar eles de serem destruídos é bom, você também vai ganhando poderes mágicos que você solta com combo de botões no controle tipo X / B / X solta bola de fogo X / B / A solta cura lembrando um pouco o jogo Magika Infelizmente o combate do jogo é bem ruim, com o ataque falhando várias vezes, além disso eu literal me perdi já no primeiro mundo que não importa a rota que faça recebo que não fiz direito e preciso retornar a ele Depois de 3 tentativas eu desisti O jogo precisa de um polimento melhor tanto em explicar o que você tem que fazer como no combate dele que ainda precisa de ajustes, desde que recebi a key do jogo vi que eles fizeram vários updates então o time já está tentando corrigir esses problemas Irei dar positivo pois tem potencial em virar um bom jogo no momento ele é bem mediano NOTA 5/10 mas tem potencial de subir com o tempo Retornarei a ele mais pra frente para ver se corrigiram os problemas

Gorgeous artstyle and a nice difficulty, love the spells' risk and reward mechanics. However the game still have some bugs, especially when dashing.

I can't say I'm very good at these sort of games, so take that into account. Difficulty adjustments have been added and makes the game more enjoyable overall. Controls aren't horrible, but they don't feel as good as other games. Art and music are interesting. I could suggest this at a steep discount, just to see what they have made.

there are voices in the world today which preach for us to forget our history... to be ignorant of the past and the stories with which our ancestors passed down to us... This is a game that works to keep the cultures of the old american civilizations alive. Its wonderfully animated and there is this having to learn the story element in order to get things to work out correctly every time... its inspiring in both how it was executed as well as the message of keeping the memories of the past alive and acting especially when those histories are threatened. plays well a;though i admit using the ctrl and alt keys are different

Played the beta, died 10 times on the tutorial level... Bought game when released, died 20 times on the tutorial level 10/10 would buy again!

Aaaaaand another game into the "when theres nothing else to play" list, in case its not clear this NOT a "do not recomend" review, this is "by all that is good and beautiful in this world DO NOT BUY THIS" review. I am a serial game finisher, you really have to be bad for me just ot give you 20 minutes of my time. I could talk about the crap keyboard controls, about the lame mechanics, about the bad graphics, about crap artstyle, about non existant character of the guy you play, the bad voice acting or the fact the intro needs subtiltes because with every posible kind of volume up to 100%, the narration was in whispers, BUT im gonna go straight for the killhshot. This game was made realease in 2021, it uses UNITY and NOT only does it not have a "load from save" option, there is no "back to main menu option", meaning that you wanna try another shot at section, you need to EXIT the game and then start from wherever the game saved your progress. If that doesnt kill this game for you, you deserve everything you are about to witness

An interesting story with a lot of potential, the only issue is I struggled to progress enough to see it. This might be my general lack of platforming skills, but the boss battles were extremely difficult and unforgiving, and I believe I encountered a couple of bugs while trying to progress, one of which meant that on reloading the game I had to start from the very beginning. That being said, if difficult platformers are your thing, then I'm sure you'd love it! The art is interesting, especially the contrast between the playable character and the background, and I genuinely love the concept. I wish you all better luck than me!
