Guard of Wonderland is a visual novel created from our inspirations of "Alice in Wonderland"; a tribute of respect and love for the author's talent. Here is the atmosphere of absurdity and, at the same time, the beauty of the world in the book, but with new characters and an unconventional look at the story of Wonderland.

The story revolves around Alice and Alcie (who looks suspiciously like American McGees Alice) and you can play the game as either, each having their own story and characters they meet. The art was really nice, would have liked an unlockable gallery or something to see the enemies/characters better though. The dialogue was kind of offputting for me at times as everyone speaks in rhyme but sometimes the sentences don't make sense. Combat is easy enough, you face an enemy and have the choice of two random items to attack with (like an apple and a boot) and if you click the right item you do damage and then have to do so with another set of items until it dies. If you pick the wrong item then the enemy attacks but you have a chance to dodge with the WASD keys. It's a pleasant enough game to look at, I'd have probably enjoyed it more if it wasn't rhyming dialogue but that's just me, it's still good to see creators doing something original with games.

아름답지만 한글 번역이 뭐 같다.
As a fan of Alice in Wonderland, RPG's and visual novels. This game seemed like it ticked all the right boxes. Guard of Wonderland sadly wasn't my cup of tea. Enemies are too easy to defeat with 2-3 hits. There's no change in the environment. Music is lovely, but may grow monotonous later on throughout the story. The poetic dialogue is an experiment, but sadly loses it's charm quick. With an interesting concept of gaming genres blended together, execution is rather lacklustre. Turning the game into a repetitive chore. The only thing I can praise, is the character art design.
