I found the core loop satisfying: run around - plant grass - gather flowers - buy upgrades. Even at the highest difficulty it's not a particularly complicated or difficult game; my kids watched me play and wondered what was fun about it but I enjoyed my afternoon playing it. Sometimes I don't need a complicated and difficult game and this was just the thing for me today. :)
It's a fun, short game that doesn't wear out its welcome. The core gameplay loop does start to get a little repetitive by the time you unlock everything in the tree and get to endless mode, but at that point you're basically done anyway. I enjoyed running around and filling the world with plants and trees and flowers. Unlocking the tree was satisfying. It's not a complex game, but it scratches an itch in an enjoyable way.
I had a really good time playing this — the gameplay feels smooth, it looks great, and it's clear a lot of effort went into it. That said, it does feel a bit short or like something’s missing. Hoping the devs add more in future updates because the potential is definitely there. Still worth checking out if you're into games like this!
Idle & Incremental Lovers recommends Growmancer despite some caveats. Growmancer is a cute and cozy "gardening" game with a short but interesting upgrade tree. It feels a bit too grindy, though, and the prestige system is just a lazy adjusting of diffulty and rewards. + Very relaxing. + No enemies, just you and the nature. +/- You'll be doing a lot of wandering around, it's repetitive but might be a part of the "gardening" genre. +/- A decent number of upgrades bring new elements to the gameplay, but most of the time you'll be grinding to level up each upgrade from 1 to 10. Feels like an artificial way to get a longer game. - The prestige system is another way to artificially boost the length of the game : it brings nothing to the gameplay except a scaling of difficulty and rewards. - Game isn't well optimized, lags a lot in the endgame. Despite the later caveats, the game stays enjoyable, but i wouldn't recommend it if you're a dopamine addict. It's a game for the patient and meditative gamer. *I've just done my part to help the environment. I unplugged 6 electric vehicles that no one was using.* Found this review helpful?
I like that this game is based on doing good, helping, growing etc. Just for that I can recommend it.
A solid 4/10
I liked the game. It's like Lyca but 3D, but I have to be honest, I am dissapointed. The visual of the game is really flat, the only thing I find nice is the main character. The menus are kind of ugly and the performance gets worts the more you go on. Nevertheless is funny and entertained but unlike the other games of this type, I don't want to do the 100% and I think that's a bad signal. If you find it with discount, is good, if not, I think you better go with Lyca.
