https://youtu.be/RkLoYK-7FrU You know the type of game this is, but also know it plays and controls well with a lot of personality. And it is only 10 dollars. Lots of easter egg references from fallout, to castelvania to NBA Jam, to Thor There are also aspects that make it stand out from vampire survivors such as a bunker you can sleep in to heal, night and day elements and the need to get candy to stop from losing life. There are also things like safes to crack by staying the area. And the chance to go bonkers and streak are nice additions. The aim is auto so you only need to focus on the movement. And You can unlock permanent upgrades with the coins you get from your runs to make the next run easier. This is a good game to get for your steam deck and you can even save mid run when you get into a bunker. I do worry it might be light on maps and content but again it's ten dollars. And you can ride a two headed cow!
Beneath a sky where dead stars crawl, And ancient shadows crown the fall, The sirens choke, the heavens tear, Something old awakens there. From poisoned earth and atom flame, A nameless hunger calls your name. The bunker doors have rusted red, Yet stranger things outlive the dead. They whisper underneath the stone, In tongues no living throat has known. They watched mankind ignite the sun, And laughed to see what we had done. Still through the wastes, one figure goes, Where blackened wind and madness blows. No chosen king. No sacred sword. Just blood, bad luck, and one more horde. The creatures rise. The bullets sing. The void unfolds on broken wings. And somewhere past the mushroom glow, Great eyes awaken far below. Run if you must. Fight if you dare. The end of the world is already there. For when the final bunker falls, And something answers mankind's calls, The stars themselves shall disappear... Yet still we stand. GROUND ZERO HERO. There are worse things than the apocalypse. And you just woke them up.

Played almost 1 hour and i have to admit it's great. Tbh dev team did a great job and for sure i will play a lot more. WELL DONE!
Classic bullet heaven game with the added fun of a "generated" acid trip. Art style feels very Simpsons/Rick and Morty and the music is fun without getting monotonous. Every run through the game feels slightly different if you choose to upgrade your skills with the choice of mutations. It's always fun to see how a new mutation will work to help destroy the many enemies, whether that be a vampire who sprints at you or a grey alien coming to probe Uranus. Exploration is key, as the health and candy pickups (which you need to survive) are scattered across the insanely large map. Plus, you can find vehicles to ride and also locate some other crazy items to slaughter your foes. Overall, it's a load of silly fun which seems to be lacking in the industry these days. The game doesn't take itself too seriously, which is one of the many reasons it gets a spot on my playlist.
Awesome game, played it to death on PS5 and just bought it on here to support the developer.
Fell in love with the art first. That scrappy hand-drawn 90s cartoon look, real Rick and Morty energy, gross-out mutants and bulging eyes. Then the wasteland grabs you: absorb guts, mutate into something horrible, cram candy, go bonkers. Genuinely funny, genuinely chaotic.
This game is just awesome! Had a lot fun tha last 30 mins. I really loved the Rick and Morty style!
Awesome game! 5/5 Ground Zero Hero All Bosses https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddHhpuoJv5k
Genuinely a good bit of fun, rougelikes aren't normally what I play but I am glad I gave this a go. It has charm and replayability with enough variety in the upgrades to allow for a bit of freshness in the runs.
