This game looks sick, reminding me of Earthbound. I haven't gotten very far yet but it looks very promising.

Loving the vibe, exploring the frozen world in my kayak, and piecing together the game’s mysteries. Great writing in a unique setting. Cute doggos.

I really love the narrative of this game. It has a fun humor to it and keeps you engaged with the overarching mystery. Lots of good characters and cute dogs! I like that the game doesn't hold your hand too much and lets the story unfold at your own pace. Other good things to note is that the sound design is strong, beautiful sprite art, kayaking across the world is a blast and some really fun puzzles too. I would definitely recommend this to players who love games like A Short Hike and Earthbound.

From the jump, Grønland captivates players and immerses them in this narrative-driven RPG. From how poetic the dialogue was throughout the game to how satisfying it felt to simply paddle a boat across the map, I was incredibly impressed with the level of detail and thought went into building out a region filled with fun characters to interact with, plenty of mysteries to unlock, and coins to collect (!). The juxtaposition of having soothing music and environments with ominous and often dark undertones made this game feel magically poetic to me. I felt as though I were navigating a David Berman poem where themes of loneliness, sadness, and melancholy left an eeriness in the room as I read more. This game was incredibly special to play, and although I've only gone through one playthrough, I already anticipate unlocking the rest of Grønland's secrets. Fantastic piece of work.

Nice top-down pixel graphics. Exploration and access to new areas through gear/abilities feels nostalgic, like og pokemon games. I like that the ui and music are somewhat chiptune-y, but the sound effects are very hi-def and realistic

An excellent adventure game. Interesting themes and rewarding exploration. The music is fantastic, and the windwaker-esque sailing around a grid sea map works so well. I became invested in the characters and the story, it's much more involved and sombre than I initially expected. Great mystery, great game!
