A great little game at a great little price.
Really liking the game so far, nice balance of visual novel and strategy. Looking forward to playing more~!
Found this game and was intrigued because of its cool art and killer trailer soundtrack! Charming narrative-based game on a group of teens and their adventures together in the mythical world of Caldria that they mysteriously find themselves in. Combat is turn based and easy to get into, but just challenging enough as you move on to keep it interesting without being too hard. I like how player choices influence the character development of each adventuring team member, offering more depth to character growth than the usual RPG. Can't wait to see how the story develops in the future!
Enjoying the story so far. Understanding the basics of combat is simple, but as you play, there's a depth to the strategy which is quite challenging. Watching enemy order, and where to immobilize or concentrate attacks helps a long way to winning every combat.
A stylishly-animated RPG that has an engaging storyline and well-developed characters. The turn-based combat is easy to digest and has a nostalgic charm, allowing enough customization to how each character can be played (like a support or tank etc). Definitely check this gem out!
Grifford Academy is a fun ride through a whimsical world full of personality and mystery. The cast is colorful and full of memorable characters, leading to some genuinely funny moments. The storybook setting is well thought out, and the balance between combat and narrative keeps things fresh and moving along. If you enjoy fantasy strategy games with strong worldbuilding and a charming cast, this one’s well worth your time.
[EN] First of all, I can't say anything about the story content of Grifford Academy because my English is poor, but I generally like the character design and gameplay. What I don't like so objectively is the graphic style itself, which feels loveless, whether in the sequences or in the visual design of the environment, because the characters & creatures look more detailed than the rest of the game and I think that's a shame, because the game world doesn't look visually cohesive. I'm not interested in super beautiful graphics in games, but presentation and graphics can be of different kinds, but then it should feel authentic to the players. Lastly, I would be very happy if the developers can improve my only point of criticism as much as possible, because it is a very good game in itself and the roadmap looks very good, so dear developers make everything completely in this cel shading comic look like the characters themselves. This game and its developers should get the attention and support it deserves. *translator used* Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
Charming game that throws you right into the story of a mysterious fantasy world. Combat is straightforward and there is much to explore in optimising each fight. Story-wise, I've only played a bit so far and the characters are already growing on me with their quirks, antics, and motivations. Will be back to explore Caldria more!
A fun game, mixing the development of a story with turn based (which I like) combat. The combat initially looks like its about taking turns at hitting things until they fall over, but there is a rich array of items that add surprising tactical depth. Also, characters' abilities are customizable as they level up. The graphics are also very well done.
