muito bom
mega man pero insano
WHAT A GAME! This game was so much fun to play I enjoyed fighting every boss throughout the game Although it can be a little challenging at times, but don't give up because it's totally worth it. Excited for the upcoming sequel 🔥
Despite it definitley taking inspiration from Megaman, you actually punch / kick all the enemies in this game instead of shooting them with different weapons. V fun to play in bursts and sprint through the levels. DEF look at the settings when you start playing, some things like auto sprint should be on by default and they're not.
On paper, Gravity Circuit is a Mega Man X/Zero clone, but to leave it at that feels too dismissive for what the game offers. While the game is very clearly inspired by Capcom's hit series, Domesticated Ant adds enough twists on the classic formula to stand shoulder to shoulder with it's predecessors. Kai, the titular Gravity Circuit, must defend the city from the evil Virus Army and their leaders, the Rebel Circuits. As you might expect, there are 8 Rebel Circuits, each one found at the end of their own themed level, which can be tackled in any order. No two levels feel too similar as they each feature unique gimmicks that challenge the player in different ways. Some of the environmental hazards are exceptionally tricky, and more than once I found myself impressed by how devious the level layout could get. In a truly impressive feat, each level in the game feels like a standout. Whether jumping from car to car on a speeding caravan or trudging through a robot graveyard, every mission in the game manages to impress. Even the contractually obligated ice level bucks genre tradition by not being a slog. This is helped in large part by how great the controls feel. Kai is basically a robo ninja, and he plays like it. He runs fast, jumps high, and hits hard. Flying dive kicks and rapid punch combos are some of his more basic abilities, with dozens more available as players progress. I have to admit that I was initially leery when I saw Kai was effectively limited to close range combat, but it can't be overstated how many combinations of abilities, both active and passive, there are to experiment with. "Invulnerability while sliding" might sound like it has a fairly niche use case, but combined with the armor set that boosts sliding speed and duration it becomes an easy way to avoid screen-wide attacks. The Heavenly Piledriver is incredibly powerful, but requires you to get close to your enemy and risk damage in the process, unless of course you throw up a personal shield first. Seriously, the amount of synergies and build options is staggering. If the Mega Man games encouraged player autonomy through choice-based level progression, Gravity Circuit takes it one step further by offering a level of skill expression typically reserved for DMC-esque action games. That's not to say all that power makes the game easy. Quite the opposite, actually. Boss fights are brutal, and for all of Kai's ninja skills, he can't take a punch. Keeping in mind the aforementioned sadistic level design, expect to die often, as the game pulls no punches. Thankfully, the iron hand of the difficulty wears a velvet glove; lives are unlimited and checkpoints frequent. Presentation is fantastic all throughout. Character designs make creative use of simple shapes and single color themed palettes, making them feel both unique and nostalgic, like they came from an 80's cartoon that never was. Sprites are well animated and easily readable among the game's fast pace. Dialogue, of which there is a surprising amount, is well written. Characters major and minor are brought to life with enough charm to make them all likeable. There's even some mystery sprinkled among the pre and post boss fight banter that kept me intrigued as to how things would develop. To really sell the individuality of each character, the rate of text changes depending on the speaker in order to simulate different speech patterns. It's little details like that that shows me this game is a labor of love. Speaking of love, the soundtrack is worthy of all the praise I can muster. Truly, the OST is all killer, no filler. It was a bold move on Domesticated Ant's part to give away Gravity Circuit for free to celebrate the announcement of the sequel, but after three playthroughs I have to say it was a success! Gravity Circuit was an unexpected delight, and ranks as one of the best in it's genre that I've ever played. Gravity Circuit 2 has already become one of my most anticipated releases for 2027.
