its aa good game when you wanna play it
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is one of the best games ever made and remains a timeless classic. Even decades later, its story, characters, world, and sense of freedom are still easy to appreciate. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this version. The Definitive Edition was outsourced rather than developed directly by Rockstar, and it feels like the developers were under significant pressure to release it before it was ready. To this day, the game still suffers from technical issues and performance problems that should not exist in a remaster of a classic title. What makes the situation even more disappointing is that Rockstar delisted the original versions while also taking legal action against modders who had created their own remasters that many fans considered superior. If you absolutely insist on playing this version, wait for a deep sale. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas deserves your time, but this Definitive Edition does not deserve full price.
Классика!
A classic, definitive edition seems to be slightly easier than the original one. That or I just got better.
ощущение будто я поиграл в нищую юнити пародию на гта
As someone who spent most of my childhood practically living in San Andreas even spending years managing SA:MP servers back in the day. This is by far my favourite GTA of all time. I hold this game to an impossibly high standard. While the Definitive Edition doesn't quite capture the flawless, nostalgic magic of our childhood memories, it still stands as a solid, visually upgraded way to experience CJ's legendary journey on modern hardware. The sheer scale of the world still holds up beautifully, and the updated lighting does wonders for the diverse environments. Watching the sunset over the Los Santos skyline, driving through the foggy, towering pines of Back O' Beyond, or seeing the neon lights of Las Venturas gleam in the distance feels incredible. On the gameplay side, the modernized shooting controls and GPS navigation are massive upgrades. Gunfights actually feel responsive now, and you no longer have to constantly pause the game to check if you missed a turn on the freeway. It runs smoothly on modern high-end PCs, allowing you to appreciate the massive draw distance that makes San Andreas finally feel like the sprawling state it was always meant to be. For anyone who remembers the precise physics and aesthetic of the original, the character models in this version will occasionally make you wince. Some of the iconic Grove Street family members look like glossy action figures, losing that gritty, low poly charm that defined the 2004 release. There are also moments where the missing radio tracks hurt cruising through the desert just doesn't hit quite the same when certain classic songs are missing like "Killing In the Name and Hellraiser" from K-DST or Radio X due to expired licenses. If you are expecting this to be a flawless, 1 to 1 recreation of the original masterpiece, it isn't. But if you want to experience the massive single player campaign with modern resolutions, great framerates, and smooth controls, it is a very enjoyable ride. It has its flaws, but stepping back onto Grove Street and hearing "Welcome to San Andreas" still gives you chills. It is well worth playing through one more time.
