The software is OK. It generates planets, moons ,asteroids the OBJ, MTL and textures. But there is no integration with Unreal Engine. You will need to import and make your own material by hand. The samples provided can hardly reproduce the look of the software. Therefore, there is no easy integration as described in the video. You will need to build your materials manually and you will have a hard job to achieve the look of the software. In short, it is an object and texture generator. Only that.
Just discovered this software. I've been through many blender tutorials, using cheap unity assets, and just trying to figure out how I can populate 1k systems with interesting visuals. This software just rocks, so much freedom on creating unique worlds, suns, and asteroids. One complaint is that the textures do suffer quite a bit of quality when transferring over to Unity. You do not get what you see in the preview. I'm guessing they say to get that quality you need to buy the PRO but I wont buy it unless I have proof that it will work. The other issue I have is the pinching at the poles..a common issue with textures when dealing with spheres. But I was hoping that paying 60+ dollars I could get a quality better then that? Currently you will get a very large texture issue at the world poles. Overall I rate this as a pretty dam good program, it has its faults and it is dam expensive, but you get some good textures to import into Unity
As an amature board game / card game / tabletop game designer this is ideal for creating images for cards and boards! It has a bit of a learning curve but stick with it and you'll be making some great stuff in no time!
Had this on my prior computer, it wouldn't work. Thought it might be buggy. Turns out, it was my computer. It works great on this new one. Definitely enjoyable, and useful!
Amazing Hidden Gem
10/10 Very good procedural planet generator with output presets for game engines like Unity, Unreal Engine. All parameters working in real-time that very nice for rapid modeling planet and see final result directly in viewport. Must have for game developer or environment artists!
This tool improves your life for 1000%. The developers have done a great job and the tool has no problems or crashes. I didnt experience any bugs while working with it. You should definitly check out the pro-DLC. All in all i can say this is just amazing! GREAT JOB and NICE COMMUNITY! definitly worth it!
