What a shame. Game clearly has potential however, in this current state I simply cannot recommend someone pay £14.99 for this. Here is some of the bugs I have had. Map zooming in and out, stutter mess. Constant, never ending pop ups about events going on in the game. Can't load saves (supposed to be fixed by the end of 06.05.2026) Some pop up events have bugged text such as "company [text] is being bought by [text]" And there's more. I have been unable to enjoy or experience anything this game has had to offer sadly. I'm aware the dev is very open to feedback and ideas to help grow this game. HOWEVER. I do not think this game was ready at all for EA release. I'm very aware how EA works and I'm normally very forgiving towards solo devs, BUT there is a limit and I think this game has gone over that limit. I'm pretty much paying to be a pre alpha tester. Let's hope it get's better.

Long time political sim enjoyer here! (The Political Process, Prime Minister/President Infinity, Democracy 3/4, Geopolitical Simulator 4) This is one of the most detailed political-economic sims I've seen out there. It looks more like a piece of modelling software than an actual game sometimes. Bonus points for modelling Westminister parliamentary politics (which is rare for political games) There's some bugs but nothing major that couldn't be worked out in a few patches (which seem to be releasing in short order) I'm really excited for the upcoming updates. The negative reviews seem to be from people who have never touched simulators like this in their life

No tutorial, constant popups like previous player mentioned, game is way overpriced in it's current state and generally about as much fun as watching paint dry whether you're interested in politics or not.

This game is not ready, this game is not even *nearly* ready. Basic features, like moving the map and scrolling are so broken i am regularly sent flying off into the white void. Between my unwilling trips outside of the UK, i am bombarded with popup events every other second. Half of them are HoL votes, which you cant participate in but still take multiple clicks to move through, and the others are: "you have met gleeb gleeboid at a party. what do you do?" - work the room - kiss on lips - vandalism and there's *never* an obvious outcome. it just closes with no feedback. It's not even an effective simulation... you can do absolutely absurd things that totally break immersion. My first character was an anarchist, centralist, globalist, anti-globalist, social conservative feminist, MP for the scottish green party standing in dorset. Just ridiculous. Do not play this game. Maybe it'll be good later, but the utter disregard for game design this EA build shows makes me heavily doubt that.

The game is surely not ready yet. It has loads of potential. But in the current state (the constant popups, many bugs) and that the 8x mode just insnt playable but you just cant pause the game. After the update its slightly better. And i think it will get better.

I'm really enjoying this game, there's a lot of depth and strategy. The game has got a ways to go, but what I've seen, this is a good purchase.

The ideas here are genuinely interesting, and the potential is real, this could become one of the more in-depth political sim games out there once it's in better shape. That said, as of right now the game is way too buggy for me to recommend, especially at this price point. It feels like it should not have released in this state, it's borderline unplayable. The dev is actively working on fixes, which I appreciate, and I'll definitely come back with an updated review after more patches. For now though, it's a no. Bugs I encountered: -certain actions are blocked with a "not enough capital" error even when capital is sufficient -on loading a save, my character's beliefs reset, as well as party factions beliefs -on loading a save, my character was no longer in the faction I picked at the start, and when I tried to rejoin, I couldn't, even though joining other factions worked fine -on an earlier version, challenging for party leader gave a "not part of this party" error, and I'd always receive 0 votes. Unsure if this is fixed, but worth looking into -other smaller bugs that I'm sure it has been reported on

This game has a lot of potential. If all the bugs get eventually get fixed, it will be one of the best UK political sims out there!, right now I would rate it a 6/10 but it has potential for 10/10. If you are not patient about bug fixes, don't buy this game. If you are, I would recommend it because I believe it will become great.

I have been playing this game on the steamdeck, it has been entertaining. I see a lot of potential and avenues for growth. So far the game is good for a quick session for maybe 30 minutes as a party leader. I find playing as a backbencher also has potential with current content not being too entertaining. My main problem is the lack of ability to target for election seats and local factors being apart of the equation. I.e. SNP got wiped out to 1 seat or majorities always being in the low 5k. Rarely seeing safe seats in a 2 party state. I am hopeful that future updates will solve these problems. So for £15 it is a bit pricey but if development continues to a similar state as The Political Process is currently at. I can see this game being the answer to when someone says, "will you make The Political Process for UK".
