Since I am an original G1 player I will say that you definately DO get original vibes, 10/10 on this aspect. And even all other aspects are 9/10 for me.

čekání se vyplatilo ;)
I wish all the other classic games a remake as good and as faithful as Gothic Remake. Loved almost every second of it. This game reminded me what I fell in love with 20 years ago. I appreciate so much that we got full Polish dubbing with many of the original voices. During the playthrough I could feel that it is the same old world, while expanded where it was lacking in the original version, and what's more - developers added something new while being faithful to the original climate. The soundtrack deserves it's own mention - Kai Rosenkranz did it again and created something close to masterpiece. I didn't have any problems with smoothness in this game, but I definitely needed to use the dynamic Frame Generation to be able to play in 4k 144 fps. In general it worked fine, but there were moments where the artifacts were more visible - when the light or torches were moving around, or when I was fighting in strange light (for example the New Camp). Nonetheless it is a small price to pay for such a beautiful scenery and graphics. Definitely loved this part. I also appreciate the introduction of actual bosses - especially Crawlers Queen. The fights with Demon Princes in Sleeper's Temple were good as hell. I liked the new systems - climbing and new chest opening minigame. The magic felt epic as well. That's for the good words. But some things need to be said. This game is definitely still rough over the edges. People who didn't play the old version may have trouble getting into this world as it is not really typical modern RPG. I don't even want to mention amount of little bugs with audio or NPC behavior in different scenes, because the list would go for too long. This and as well as one very annoying bug with miners following me since Thorus' quest till the Sleeper's Temple. So as in the original version, the game still has a lot of potential to uncover, if just the developer would be given enough time. Maybe a modding community will partially solve this issue in the future. What's more, I don't understand some design decisions. The weapons that we find by chance in caves or ruins are never better than what we could buy from the merchants. For the same reason smithing skill makes no sense at all - there was never a good moment to actually invest in it (btw who thought that it would be a good idea to not show the stats of the item on the recipe before crafting?). So in general. Is this game perfect? Definitely not. Will modern gamer fall in love in this game? It is definitely possible, but it is not a game for everyone. Is this game rough over the edges and the player will encounter smaller or bigger bugs? Unfortunately, yes. BUT! Do i regret playing this game? Not at all. For me personally this is the original version which got a level up in every aspect. And that's what I want to thank the developers for - for creating a game which reintroduced this feeling that I had when I was a kid and I explored the Colony for the very first time. The developers had a whole lot of good ideas which were introduced in the game in a better or worse way, but in general they did a great job that creating this Remake. Thank you devs <3
This game sticks as close as possible to the original. With a few new additions and thoughtful changes, it turned out really well and ran smoothly on my system. It’s tough in the beginning, but gets easier toward the end. The game doesn't hand-feed you tutorials or force you down a linear path—it simply tells you to go out and explore! It isn't a massive game (though you can easily sink extra hours into it if you're new to it), and it definitely doesn't hold your hand. Some choices actually matter, and there is a lot to discover!
its hard but very good RPG
