Love the art style, good story/narrative and sound track. As for a card game, its balanced enough. Personally, I did not find any proper use for the Cleric and Golemancer besides those two I could mix-match all the rest to create viable team comps, so I liked trying out different styles. Death recovery too helped, when I was defeated, I could recover fast enough and rebuild a proper team and re-try the challenge. If you are into this style of games, like StS, I recommend this one too.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Firstly let me say how impressed I am with this game. There are quite a few things which could be better, but it takes a lot to get me to write a review. 13 hours in I am ready to begin a deep run into this game and see where it leads. In my review I will compare this game to arguably the two most popular card battlers Slay the Spire (STS) and Monster Train (MT) Overall 8/10 - though I am thoroughly excited to play this game and I am in love with the art style, mechanics, and depth of decision making as I said there is quite a bit which could be better including user interface, tool tips, and explanations. I recommend a glossary of terms to be added to the help menu. Art Style 10/10 - Love it love it love it. Unlike STS which goes more minimalist and MT which goes for a more flashy look which is cartoonist and kinda goofy, this game goes for a more classic RPG look which is done amazingly well. The characters and enemies all look great! Originality 8/10 - Yes this game draws from some ideas of STS, and other games which came before it. But its rare to find a game which doesn't draw inspiration from other successful titles, and this game does sooo much more. It has a deep equipment and loot system, extensive character development, and multiple different activities in the form of events, explorations, and dungeons which make the game deeper than any other card battler I am aware of. Interface 4/10 - This could be better as I explained before with an easier way to understand actions and effects in the game. This game is trying to accomplish a lot. Sometimes when you are making decisions like selecting a piece of equipment it is unclear as to what some effects do. It is not always intuitive on how to accomplish certain tasks and I found myself going online many times to research "how to" which wasn't always easy to find. Card Battles 6/10 - The skills are fun and you enjoy playing them. The grid based system and movement are great and make it feel more like an RPG than a card battler. The equipment and talents also add depth to the game which makes it feel like your cards are only half of the importance of the tactical decision making. So it isn't that the card system is bad, but it isnt the only focus of a good party. Unlike other party based card battlers (Across the Obelisk) there aren't too many cards making the management feel like a chore. Also cards are unlocked fairly slowly so you have time to adjust to new skills and try out existing builds before more is dumped on you. That being said, I did find myself wanting to unlock more cards a little more quickly but perhaps it is good that I couldn't give the reasons I just mentioned. Difficulty 5/10 - I wanted to address this though my rating at 13 hours played may be off base. On a normal run I quickly realized I was going to absolutely steam roll everything with no challenge. I looked online to see if others thought the game was easy and saw many comments from people saying the game was extremely easy even on the most difficult settings. I restarted a run on Torment to see how far I could get without trying very hard and wiped my party on the first dungeon which was about 30 minutes in. I got through the initial fights until I had the first 5 characters unlocked with no problems. I am restarting on Hard with hopes it will be challenging, but expecting to maybe have to increase the difficulty further as I take my time to make the best tactical decisions. I read some people say the campaign is "just a tutorial", and the real game is the Realm Mode on Endless. I played Realm Mode and it is fun, especially for someone looking for more of a STS or MT experience, but that isnt why I am here. I am here for the campaign. I like this game more than STS or MT because of the campaign. STS and MT are not deep enough for me, and this game has much more depth and charm. It makes no sense to me the campaign would be "just a tutorial" as the devs obviously poured a ton of passion into building the campaign and it is such a deep and rich experience. That being said, I understand bringing all these ideas together maybe nearly impossible to balance. In closing I want to say, this is game is on the top of my list right now to thoroughly explore and I am very excited for the potential it has. I hope the game devs keep working on it and have ideas of continuing the franchise.
Slay the spire+Darkest dungeon=Gordian Quest
Solid deckbuilder with more of a focus on the RPG element (multi-character parties, equipment, character levels, etc.) then you usually see in the genre. This means there are plenty of opportunities and vectors for customizing your deck and party as you progress through the story. Solid variety in available builds, with nine characters that each have three separate decks of skills to draw from to create their load out. Your character's skills can also be modified by your gear, with a cool system of socketing cards and gem modifiers into equipment and legendary weapons and armor that can enhance cards (ex. making a single target heal into an AOE). Combat also happens on a grid, so positioning your characters to dodge enemy attacks and stay in range for your own is important. Once your deck fully comes online the end game can become a grind as you're looking for the final pieces of kit for your party. However, it takes 20-30 hours to get there. There are also other modes, including a straight rogue-like mode similar to Slay The Spire, so replayability (including trying out characters you didn't use in the campaign) is high. Highly recommend if you enjoy the genre.
