About
Gods vs Horrors is a drafting roguelike focusing on synergies, scaling, and positioning. You'll need to adapt to the choices offered and enemy compositions. Recruit and dismiss Gods, reroll your options, increase your devotion level to get access to more powerful Gods, and fight Cosmic Horrors in automated no-RNG battles.

Take synergies and scaling to another level. Each roll could deliver the final piece for your build or enable a crazy change in your composition.
Spend your divine essence to strengthen your army now or use it to increase your devotion level and gain access to more powerful Gods later. Balancing short-term survival with late-game power is key to creating an unstoppable build.
Position your Gods to counter the enemy's formation and composition. Combat is automatic, easy to follow, and deterministic (no RNG). It can be sped up or slowed down as desired.

Create unique builds with 170 gods from 10 mythologies, 90 blessings (in-run buffs), and 30 relics to customize your runs. Unlock options through play, increasing the variety of available choices without power creep (horizontal meta-progression).
Fight against 6 different bosses, each with their cast of allies and environmental effects, requiring you to devise specific strategies to beat them. Once you've mastered them you can play the Unknown Calamity mode to face against a mix of horrors from all campaigns.
Apply difficulty modifiers to challenge your decision-making.

Like many autobattlers, once the combat starts, there is not way to control the flow of battle - everything is decided in the preparation stage. In that stage players buy cards (gods) to make up an army to battle with. There is strategy involved in what gods to buy and where to position them as well as when to upgrade to the next tier of gods. While there are combos, the build up to them can be slow and quite manual. For example there is a relic that that gives stats of bought gods, which means you will be buying and selling gods every round, which can be a bit tedious. The bosses offer unique challenges and can test the knowledge of the game, even if sometimes they do feel like sudden roadblocks (2nd boss I'm looking at you). Content wise, it has a decent amount of gods from different pantheons, and scaling difficulty for those that want to pursue it. Overall, there are not many things to be said about Gods Vs Horrors. It has a simple design, allows for strategizing and offers enough content for 10-20h of play.
Favorite mechanics
• Free choice between buying gods and upgrading the pantheon
The positive
+ Simple to learn, harder to master + Good amount of gods and strategy variety
The neutral
* Occasional bugs. Getting a tie with the boss, doesn't count as win like other battles do. * Combos take time pay off
The negative
- Some combos require busywork
Conclusion:
A solid autobattler army drafter with enough content and room to strategize. Recommended, 7/10.
“無盡模式”打一打敵人全部變1/1小怪是怎樣 請快點修復很影響遊戲體驗 我好不容易天胡一把 然後敵人變1/1 我整個人都不好了 順帶一提 遊戲還蠻好玩的 就是有很多噁心人的機制怪 讓人很難爽
bug是真是多
fun little game
神话题材的卡牌游戏,玩起来还不错。卡牌设计有点像炉石,不过又自成一派,没事搞一把还挺爽。
Gods vs Horrors is a clever fusion of roguelike progression, auto-battler strategy, and mythology-themed team building that delivers a surprisingly deep and rewarding experience. Developed and published by Oriol Cosp Games, the title places players in charge of assembling divine forces from various mythological traditions to defend humanity against waves of nightmarish cosmic entities. While its premise is simple to grasp, the underlying systems create a layered strategic challenge that constantly encourages experimentation and adaptation. At the heart of the game is its roster-building mechanic. Players recruit gods with unique abilities and traits, gradually crafting a team capable of surviving increasingly difficult encounters. Every choice carries weight because the effectiveness of a run depends heavily on discovering powerful combinations between units. Rather than focusing on individual strength alone, the game rewards players who understand how abilities interact with one another. This emphasis on synergy transforms even routine decisions into meaningful strategic considerations and gives each run a distinct identity. One of the game's strongest features is its resource economy. Divine essence functions as a valuable currency that can be used in multiple ways, forcing players to evaluate immediate benefits against long-term growth. Investing resources into stronger future options may provide enormous rewards later, but doing so can leave a team vulnerable in the short term. This constant balancing act creates tension throughout every campaign and ensures that success comes from careful planning rather than simply collecting the strongest available units. Although battles play out automatically, the combat system remains engaging because preparation is everything. Positioning gods effectively, understanding enemy formations, and maximizing the impact of abilities become essential parts of victory. A particularly welcome design choice is the reduction of random combat outcomes. Since battles rely more on strategy than luck, players can learn from failures and refine their approaches with greater confidence. When a build succeeds, it feels like the direct result of intelligent decisions rather than fortunate circumstances. The amount of content available contributes significantly to the game's replayability. A large selection of gods inspired by numerous mythologies allows for an impressive variety of team compositions. Combined with blessings, relics, and other modifiers, the number of possible strategies becomes enormous. Runs rarely feel identical because players are constantly discovering new interactions and experimenting with different paths to victory. This variety keeps the game fresh long after the basic mechanics have been mastered. Boss encounters serve as major highlights throughout the experience. These battles introduce unique mechanics and force players to adapt rather than relying on a single dominant strategy. Some bosses test defensive planning, while others demand aggressive scaling or careful positioning. The game continually pushes players to rethink their assumptions, making progression feel dynamic instead of repetitive. Additional challenge modes further expand the experience by introducing tougher scenarios for players seeking greater difficulty. Visually, Gods vs Horrors adopts an appealing hand-drawn style that effectively combines divine grandeur with unsettling horror influences. The art direction may not be focused on technical spectacle, but it succeeds in creating a memorable atmosphere. Character designs are distinctive, enemy creatures are appropriately intimidating, and the interface remains clear enough to support the game's complex strategic systems. The presentation complements the gameplay well without distracting from it. The game does have a learning curve. New players may initially feel overwhelmed by the number of gods, upgrades, relics, and strategic possibilities available. Understanding the strongest combinations often requires multiple runs and a willingness to experiment. However, this complexity ultimately becomes one of the title's greatest strengths, providing a satisfying sense of mastery as players learn to navigate its systems more effectively. Overall, Gods vs Horrors stands out as an excellent strategy roguelike that successfully merges elements from several popular genres into a cohesive and highly replayable package. Its emphasis on synergy, meaningful decision-making, and mythological team building creates a rewarding experience that continually invites players back for another run. Fans of thoughtful strategy games, deckbuilding-inspired progression systems, and auto-battlers that prioritize planning over randomness will find a great deal to appreciate here. Rating: 8/10
我很少给游戏差评,但这款游戏真的很糟糕,低难度没有成就感,高难度完全随机,要么碾压怪物,要么被怪物碾压,不是玩游戏是找罪受
