Warning: Asset Flip! Goblin Dish is an asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated someone else's example/template/tutorial game, changed the name/reskinned a couple of things, and submitted it to Valve as if it was their own game.
Enoops/Galescorp/etc is back with yet another fake shell account from Russia, pushing more fake games onto Steam with stolen assets, as yet more cash grabs to try scam gamers out of a few roubles. Goblin Dish is a simple physics game blueprint populated with stolen Unity assets, this time from Kubicos, a few cube assets that you click on to make them disappear and watch where the other boxes fall. This is dumb even for a mobile app, but Enoops is trying to scam PC gamers into paying for other people's assets. Enoops/Bell Studio have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:

"Driver Night Trip" = POLYGON - Construction Pack developed by Synty Studios
"Little Adventure" = AB1 - Fantasy Platformer bundle developed by Yoyogames
"Play a game with me" = Synty Studios developed by Polygon Prototype Pack
"Traffic Racing" = Traffic Racing complete kit developed by Codeer Studio
"Book of Shadows" = Polygon Western - Low Poly 3D Art Pack developed by Synty Studios
"Deadly Threat" = POLYGON Dungeons - Low Poly 3D Art by Synty developed by Synty Studios
"Fast Wings" = Sky Flight Full Game Template developed by Puppeteer
"Little Adventure 2" = AB1 - Fantasy Platformer bundle developed by Yoyogames
"Mighty Vikings" = Polygon Vikings Pack developed by Synty Games
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The mismatched game assets are fairly mediocre/low quality, it's a wonder why they couldn't be bothered "borrowing" higher quality assets for this asset flip. This is a lot like going on a shoplifting spree but only stealing the cut price store brand goods. Regardless, the poor quality assets alone should be enough to deter gamers from bothering with this. One of the surefire ways to tell that you're dealing with a lazy minimum viable product bit of junkware is if the developer didn't bother with a full set of customisation options like your resolution, control mapping, sound controls etc. Here, the developer didn't include any settings menu at all! If that doesn't make it clear what kind of lazy junk this is, I'm not sure what will. The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just point and click stuff like a browser/Flash game. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here. Those technical issues put this game beneath what is expected from a contemporary, professionally developed PC game. This kind of asset flipping isn't harmless. It makes it harder for gamers to find genuinely made games from ethical developers. It makes it harder for genuine indie developers, who put hard work into trying to make real games, to find an audience for their products. It gives indie developers a bad name. So, should you buy this asset flip? Is this better than any of the 140,000+ genuinely made games on Steam? Of course not! Goblin Dish has the cash grab price of around $6 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the unethical nature of the developer. For comparison, the $6 asking price for this game could get you games like "Doom Eternal", "Rise of the Tomb Raider" or "Project Zomboid". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this.
Profile Features Limited! Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.
Modeled estimate over time, reconstructed from Steam's monthly review histogram.
Goblin Dish is a small indie puzzle game created by Bell Studio that blends simple logic challenges with a whimsical fantasy cooking theme. The game places players in a lighthearted scenario where they assist a goblin chef in preparing a mysterious recipe by gathering the correct ingredients scattered across a series of puzzle stages. While the premise is intentionally humorous and playful, the gameplay revolves around careful observation and decision-making as players navigate each level to assemble the proper components for the goblin’s culinary creation. The game positions itself as a casual puzzle experience designed for short play sessions rather than an elaborate adventure, offering a straightforward gameplay loop that is easy to understand from the start. The central objective of Goblin Dish revolves around collecting specific ingredients placed throughout each level. Every stage presents a small environment filled with various food items and interactive elements. Players must carefully select and gather the ingredients needed to complete the goblin’s dish while avoiding certain objects that could spoil the recipe. Among these undesirable items are apples, which the game humorously describes as ruining the taste of the dish if collected. This mechanic forces players to pay close attention to the items they interact with, as accidentally picking up the wrong ingredient can disrupt the puzzle and require the player to rethink their approach. As players progress through the game, the puzzles gradually become more complicated. Early stages introduce the fundamental mechanics and allow players to experiment with the basic rules of collecting ingredients. These initial levels act as a gentle tutorial, demonstrating how objects can be selected and how the environment responds to player actions. Later levels introduce more complex arrangements of items and additional obstacles that require players to think more carefully about the order in which they collect ingredients. While the core mechanics remain consistent throughout the experience, the increasing complexity of the puzzle layouts provides a modest sense of progression. Each level functions as a small self-contained challenge where players must analyze the environment before acting. The puzzles often require players to consider how interacting with one object may affect the availability or accessibility of others. This encourages a methodical approach to solving each stage. Although the solutions are generally straightforward, players still need to observe their surroundings and plan their actions carefully to ensure they collect the correct items in the proper sequence. Visually, Goblin Dish adopts a colorful and cartoon-like style that reflects its playful tone. The environments are rendered in simple three-dimensional models with bright textures and exaggerated shapes. The ingredients themselves are clearly designed to be easy to recognize, allowing players to quickly distinguish between items that should be collected and those that should be avoided. The goblin chef, who serves as the central character of the game’s premise, contributes to the whimsical atmosphere with a design that fits comfortably within the game’s fantasy setting. Although the graphics are relatively basic compared to larger puzzle games, they serve their purpose effectively by maintaining clarity within each level. The visual simplicity ensures that players can focus on the puzzle elements without unnecessary distractions. The environments themselves vary slightly between stages, presenting different arrangements of objects and ingredients that help maintain visual variety throughout the game. The sound design complements the game’s relaxed pacing with light background music and simple sound effects. Soft ambient music plays during gameplay, creating a calm atmosphere that fits the casual nature of the puzzles. Interactions with ingredients and objects are accompanied by small audio cues that confirm when an item has been collected or an action has been performed. While the audio presentation is modest, it contributes to the overall mood of the experience. Accessibility is one of Goblin Dish’s defining characteristics. The game avoids complicated rules or mechanics, allowing players to understand the gameplay quickly. Even players who are not particularly experienced with puzzle games can begin solving levels almost immediately. The controls are straightforward, and the game focuses on point-and-click interactions that require minimal effort to learn. This simplicity makes the game approachable for a wide audience, particularly those who prefer relaxing puzzle experiences rather than demanding challenges. However, the same simplicity that makes the game accessible can also make it feel limited after extended play. Because the central mechanic revolves almost entirely around selecting the correct ingredients while avoiding others, the gameplay loop remains largely unchanged from the beginning to the end of the game. While the puzzles become slightly more complex over time, they rarely introduce entirely new mechanics or gameplay systems. As a result, players seeking deeper puzzle design or more varied challenges may find the experience somewhat repetitive. The game’s scope also reflects its origins as a very small indie project. Compared to larger puzzle titles, Goblin Dish offers a relatively modest amount of content and features. There is little emphasis on narrative progression, and the gameplay focuses almost entirely on solving individual puzzles. For some players, this minimalism may feel refreshing, while others may wish for more variety or additional gameplay elements to expand the experience. Despite its limitations, Goblin Dish retains a certain charm thanks to its unusual concept and playful presentation. The idea of assisting a goblin chef with assembling a strange recipe gives the game a unique identity, and the lighthearted tone prevents the puzzles from feeling overly serious. The simple structure also makes the game suitable for quick gaming sessions where players can complete a few levels without committing a large amount of time. Ultimately, Goblin Dish is a modest puzzle game that emphasizes simplicity and accessibility over complexity. Its colorful presentation, casual pacing, and straightforward mechanics make it a small but approachable experience for players who enjoy relaxed puzzle-solving. While the game may not offer the depth or variety found in more ambitious puzzle titles, it still provides a brief and occasionally charming diversion within a whimsical fantasy setting. Rating: 5/10
