O.W.L Projekt

O.W.L. Projekt is a 'puzzle' game where you need to navigate 3D maze of sorts by clicking somewhere and waiting for your character slowly walk there. You occasionally move blocks and press switches. There's not thinking involved. Near the end there are enemies that just move back and forth on a predetermined path and avoiding them involves even MORE waiting. Yeah, this game is a boring slog throughout.

Since I had a buck left on my Steam wallet I decided to give this puzzle game I've seen in the Next Fest a shot. After 80 minutes this wasn't really what I was looking for. This 3D isometric puzzle game as advertised above takes heavy inspiration from sliding platform games like Monument Valley and with an ominous track from behind let us go through 50 mazes with some obstacles but nothing challenging enough even for casual players. On the contrary, one of the hurdles to overcome is the camera as it can only be rotated with Q and E and the view of the character is mostly eclipsed on purpose making some sections more annoying to go through as a result. Furthermore, with the sliders I encountered 2 instances where I had to reset a level due to them not doing their job as intended without anything blocking their path (a bug is still a bug on short levels). However, the biggest downside the game has going for it is just how slow it is. Not only is the movement speed of the owl you control is slower than that one driver in the highway with a big queue behind on Sunday mornings, the enigmatic Watchers have to be the slowest and most incompetent stealth enemies I remember seeing in a game. Sleeping guards do not come close to the number of accumulative 5 seconds cycles you have to endure to get past them, sometimes on repeat due to the nature of the game relying on backtracking by the end. In short, there's a sequel announced for the future and while I won't refund this after completing it I do hope some of these gripes could be taken into consideration.

It isn't quite Monument Valley but it has a similar feel. Love that I can play it in bite-size chunks and so far all achievements unlock naturally as the game progresses.

立体的な迷路を踏破するパズル。 Monument Volleyを彷彿とさせるアイソメトリック画面だが、視差を使ったトリックなどは一切ない。複雑でごちゃついた細い通路をただ歩くのみ。移動プラットフォームで通路を繋げ、敵を避けながらゴールを目指す。 視点は90度単位で回転可能。高い壁に囲まれた中庭を上から眺めたりはできず、通路の出口は推測でクリックすることとなる。 難易度は低め、全50面クリアに２時間弱かかった。ロケーションの変化がなく同じようなマップが続くのが残念。価格は安いので息抜き程度には楽しめると思う。

とてもシンプルな迷路ゲームですが、安価に面白いものを作ろうという気概が感じられる良いゲームでした。 奥のタイルと手前のタイルが繋がって見える現象（アイソメトリックビューならでは）に、マップは90度ずつしか回転できないという機能が加わったことによる混乱がパズルとしての難易度を上げています。 さらに、そのマップ回転動作がアナログなので、途中でつなぎ目が見えることがヒントにもなっていて、開発コストゼロの上手いシステムだと思いました。 なお、「奥のタイルと手前のタイルが繋がったように見える視点にすると本当にそこが繋がって歩けるようになる」みたいなモニュメントバレー的なことはありません。もっと迷いなくシンプルに楽しめるゲームです。

Little challenging but if you like geometry and good manipulation. This will blow your mind.

터벅터벅 걷는 순례자처럼 보이는 케릭터를 조작해 플랫폼을 움직이는 기능으로 길을 열어 목적지까지 도착하면 되는 길찾기 퍼즐게임입니다. 스테이지는 총 50개. 저렴한 가격에 단순한 플레이로 간식용게임 삼기에 좋아 보였는데, 내용이 그다지 즐길 만하지 못해 플레이시간이 짧음에도 상당히 지루했습니다. 둘러쌓인 벽 안쪽 길을 통과해야 하는 경우가 많은데, 화면회전은 되지만 가려진 부분을 보여주진 않기에 상당히 답답했습니다. 느린 걸음에 이동을 마칠 때까지 다른 조작을 할 수 없다는 것도 싫었구요. 하다못해 이동 중에 플랫폼 조작이 가능했더라면 조금은 나았을 겁니다. 길찾기도 미로라기 보다는 여기 찍고 저기 찍고 방식이라, 그다지 재미가 없었습니다. 후반에 순회하는 감시자들 나오면 걔네가 경로에서 비키는 걸 기다리는 것도 지루했구요.

Игра очень увлекательная и затягивающая, пройти можно всего за час. Графика на хорошем уровне, а сам процесс доставляет массу удовольствия. Отличный способ расслабиться и немного "размять" мозг. Рекомендую!
