Yes my game hours are correct. This game is SHORT (30-45m tops). That being said I think this game is top notch for introducing people to VR especially kids or older adults. Beautiful game its just a shame its only 45m long... I have to give it a thumbs down purely due to the short story and high $20 price tag. At $5 i think this would be reasonable and would give thumbs up
No, you're crying! This game unlocked my cute aggression. I feel like a hero and was happy to help because my new goblin friends deserve to maintain their beautiful way of life. Just like I take my time to fish when I play Animal Crossing, I'm happy to have the ability to take time to garden, look up at the sky, and take all of the Goblin Forest in after completing the mission. Buddy's eyes and ears are adorable, and clearly informed the adorability of our little Grogu Baby Yoda. My whole family is obsessed. I definitely recommend escaping into G&G!
Looks about as good as windows 95 dungeon keeper but runs only a quarter as smoothly. Gave me a huge migraine after only a few minutes. Playing with the quality settings only made it worse. Gpu was high but not even maxed out the whole time. Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
This game has cute characters and great graphics. I am running with Vive Pro Wireless, Index Controllers, 2080Ti, i9 and did not have any performance issues. 1) I did not like the default movement at all. In options, selecting Split Controller was a big Improvement. 2) Started the game and went to the river by the fire. Opened the gate so the water flowed and hit the rocks. Removed the rocks. At this point I seemed to be stuck as I could no longer open the gate again to allow the water to flow. I restarted the game and moved the rocks first and was then able to proceed. 3) In 2 above, I actually had no sound after the restart. This also happened in subsequent restarts. I found that the sound worked with 1 in three restarts. The sound was still working between restarts in steam, just not in the game. 4) Skip past the farm and to the section where I shrunk and went up the tree. The ladder climbing was not good, especially climbing down. And it used the trigger instead of the grip which I did not like. 5) From the tree I ended up at a party. Threw some knives, Had a drink, threw some fruits, threw some bean bags. Seemed to have no objective. Repeated a few times. Explored. Exited party and explored more. Found the river and raft, but could not use them. Seemed to be stuck again. After 20 mins of the repetition and annoying party gnome music, I decided that this was not going to be a game for me, even though I got it on Sale got 19.49. I have since watched a youtube play through and it looks like parts of the game were just not triggering for me in the same was and the youtube player that I watched.
If you want to play this on the Rift, so run it on PC and send to VR as opposed to play on VR hardware (Quest 2), don't bother. This title is the only one of my 90 odd titles that crashes periodically, leaving Steam in a bad state, whereby I have to reboot my PC to run anything on Occulus or Steam again. Unfortunately my 7 year old likes the game, and because the Quest 2 headset is like wearing an Iron Maiden next to the Rift S, so she wont give it up playing it on the Rift. It's been like this since we bought the game, so with all the stack traces and logs we've sent the devs, it doesn't look like there's anyone home even though the lights are on for collecting the money. I could understand if they were intermittent issues and no stack trace etc, but fixing game bugs with the Occulus SDK is easy as I'm a game dev myself, so I'm not sure whats the problem. But either fix the bloody thing, or stop taking money, its a faulty product. What happened to the world where greed and BS are accepted if its computer software ? Steam should kick off titles if they have bugs for longer than a month, until they fix them, deliver the patches to users, and the users vote to let the title back on.
I really love the graphics and the characters and the animations and the world. I would have so much liked to also love the experience. But the steering mechanisms just made me sick. A teleport movement would have made the difference between a simply unplayable game and a game that I would have loved so much. Too bad!
Game crashed to desktop loading the first level. never could get the game to load. Able to see the starting menu, calibrate my height, pick a save slot, then when it starts loading, crash. posted in the discussion board, no response. e-mailed support, no response. Had to refund. Buyer beware
Graphically this game is nice looking. But the resources the game requires are far beyond the way the game looks and feels on My core i7 9700K and RTX3700 this game still stutters at key points in the game. No other game stutters at all. If that were the only thing however I may be able to overlook it. With no Dialogue in the game whatsoever it doesn't make you engage with any of the characters, and incredibly basic tasks and no real sense of danger make this game rather lack luster and boring. It really feels like this game is still in Alpha state and they haven't added all the sounds and assets into the game and are still working on optimising performance. Alas this game is in full release and the game wont get any better than what it is. Would refund the game if the time hadn't already passed. 1/10
