the second i heard "gamingo" was picking this up i said they would add a whole bunch of pay-to-win elements.... guess what there is now a heavily pay-to-win battlepass that isnt just cosmetic upgrades. anyways if you havent played this or you are trying to get back into it i would just SKIP it. its hay day has long past and i refuse to support "gamingo" resurrecting this game just to put it 10 feet deeper into the grave. edit: because a few people are a little confused as to how its p2w, as simply as i can put for everyone. Real money → premium item → sell to players → get gold → buy resources/gear. aka skip basically every mechanic in the game to land at end game pvp. edit(2): look at the comments if you want a good laugh, some people will defend and deflect to the very end.
Gloria Victis does a lot right. Skill based, non targeting combat makes fights feel deliberate, the crafting and player driven economy is ok, and the open world PvP with territory control delivers some genuinely memorable moments. But the in-game store selling XP boosts ruins it for me. Progression already demands a serious grind, so paying to skip it creates a real imbalance in a game where your character's development directly affects how you perform in PvP. For me, monetization like this makes it hard to fully invest my time on.

Firewall issue blocking access for several days, developers do not seem to care about looking into a fix. They posted advice in their discord to log into your router and clear your firewall rules. Please for the love of all that is holy do not clear your firewall rules for this stupid game.
First time I have ever seen this in a game. Game has battle pass, but if you buy it you only get the items you unlock going further. Anything you unlocked previously to buying the battle pass you would lose and not get... Game desperately need more players, and things like this just push people away. Alot of the stuff you get from the battle pass as well as stuff you can buy from the store, has high functional value which I guess should be expected from a game published by gamigo. Game overall is enormously janky.
My new player experience in 2026: If your server is full, you must join another server. Joining a server that isn't your own penalises efficiency with resources like fisheries. If both the servers in your region are full you must join a server with terrible ping. If the server with terrible ping you join is dominated by your faction (something you can't tell until you join it), you must change servers or be heavily penalised (-50% damage, -50% stamina). To change servers you have to close the game and re-open it. I closed the game and uninstalled it. What a mess.
This is Gamigo: Invest little. Extract. Sunset. A pattern well established with Gamigo.
banger of a game, but why lock rewards from playing behind a paywall, get rid of that, make the premium pass purely cosmetic only, shish
Even though im currently playing it, its hard to recommend it. Yes there are light sprinkles of fun here and there but these are some of my personal issues. No.1 is the crafting grind, holy mother of gawd, i mean i play some grindy games like runescape etc but....nah y'all need to fix these exp numbers. I got my crafts to about 40 and just gave up and decided to outright buy gear. was making more money and getting more gear farming it that trying to craft it or achieve the levels to craft it. Keep in mind its not a bad crafting system. The exp mixed with the gather methods make it a slog. No.2 the cash shop is inconsistent with its pricing/usage. for example i buy a horse skin for 200 amber...well its only for that horse, i diddnt unlock the skin, its a 1 time consumable. In doing stuff like that with skins it feels abit scummy and predatory and deters me from ever buying another skin again, more than happy to just use the base looking ♥♥♥♥. in addition the skill resets. Upto level 90 you can respec at will, but once you pass 90 you have to buy resets, skill resets and stat resets are individual purchases at 600 each?! so 1200 for a full reset, im sorry but thats way too steep. They should be sold as 1 full reset token and for a lower cost. the only saving grave il give the devs on this one is that you can buy them from the glory vendor but....well you need to go into pvp, grind glory currency, plus glory ranks to reach the amount and rank high enough to purchase it but careful...your glory rank resets weekly so if you dont hit that rank by the end of the week...time to start your grind all over again to try and get it or....swipe swipe baby! no.3 and this is my biggest issue, the more you play the more you become accustomed to how the combat works, it definately is a skill based system and you learn with experience and i have fought against some really skilled players that have outsmarted me in a fight...however.....with that experience you start noticing the the cheaters running scripts, and i mean its blatantly crazy....no no no dont try and tell me its skill when im seeing people wind up a sword swing and hit you at the peak of the wind up but before the swing animation completes, or when your using a 2 handed weapon with no shield, you got 8 people all slashing and stabbing you from different sides, your only blocking to the left but somehow its blocking every single attack coming at you....even the ones behind you?!....cmon now bruh....the amount of auto block scripters is getting worse and more obvious the more i play. The first 2 things listed above i can look past but the auto-blockers and weapon swing exploits are a deal breaker for me and until thats rectified i cant give this game a thumbs up. UPDATE: gave all my stuff away, uninstalled and quit the game. Honestly i dont see it surviving very long, and with all the issues, especially the cheaters, the community is just gonna self cannibalize until theres barely anyone playing. Deuces!
I wanted to love Gloria Victis because the combat system is one of the best in any MMO, but after investing a lot of time into the game, I can no longer recommend it. The biggest issue is faction balance. Players can pay to change nations, which allows entire guilds to move to whichever faction is already winning. Instead of balancing populations, the strongest factions continue to grow while weaker factions are left hopelessly outnumbered. On my server, Sangmar is routinely steamrolled because the majority of the strongest guilds and veteran players have concentrated on Ismir and Midland. Wars often feel decided before they even begin. The monetization doesn't help. Players can purchase items, sell them through the gold market, and accelerate their progression. Some players have such a massive advantage that newer players have little chance of competing. My biggest disappointment is the game's handling of cheating. I personally submitted evidence that I believed warranted investigation, but I saw no meaningful action or transparency from the developers. Combined with the number of community reports and videos discussing suspected cheating, it left me with very little confidence that the game's competitive integrity is being protected. The ability to purchase character name changes only makes this worse. While there are legitimate reasons to rename a character, it also makes it harder for players to recognize people with established reputations, reducing accountability within the community. The game is also filled with long standing issues. NPCs can shoot through walls, siege hitboxes are inconsistent, parts of the UI still feel unfinished, and many item descriptions are incomplete. Crafting is an enormous gold sink that offers little payoff because it struggles to compete with the best gear available through other means. The economy also feels unhealthy due to persistent player concerns about bots, exploits, and real money trading. It's incredibly frustrating because the core combat is genuinely excellent. Gloria Victis has the foundation to be one of the best PvP MMOs available, but years of balance problems, technical issues, and what I believe is inadequate enforcement against cheating have prevented it from reaching that potential.
Game is littered with cheaters. Theres no anti cheat and people can literally just modify game files and not get banned. Only people that do get banned are rmt gold sellers which nobody cares about. You have people like immper who will run straight into 8 people and block all attacks from every direction. And before any of you losers cry skill issue ive been on elite in the glory since my 3rd day of playing this game. People will sit here and try to ragebait you talking about "nobody is cheating" when its blatantly obvious to anyone whos fought these people that they are indeed cheating. Game is terrible unless you like a bunch of 40 year old men crying about calling shots while a bunch of 15 year olds stack 7 deep on your ass while youre defending a door. The average iq of people playing this game is below 70. The coping is insane. Id avoid this game at all costs because in the end youll just be disappointed
