Back in the day this game seemed to have it all: an authentic concept, strong potential, interesting gameplay mechanics and the most important, a vibrant community that was steadily growing. In other words it possessed all those qualities that could secure a rather successful outcome, something that, at that time, allowed us to have high expectations regarding the finished product’s final form. Unfortunately what seems to be a lack of dedication from the developers side, has led us to just another case of Abandonware as the game, which is officially still in alpha stage but unavailable to the steam store, has not received any news, bug fixes or updates for several years. Currently its remaining official servers do not seem to work while the one or two still online are basically dead, void from active players, and are plagued by a series of annoying bugs and the appearance of the occasional cheater - loser that further mess things up. Even the, solo, homestead mode is suffering from a long known game breaking bug (which was never fixed) that periodically erases your entire home. All these make gameplay rather…. impossible. At this point and with no further news it is quite safe to consider “The Black Death” dead and buried and that is a real shame, because the project is basically in a half finished state. The developers have invested lots of time and resources in a product that, if they hadn’t given up, could, with only a few small patches and updates, turn into a rather enjoyable medieval themed game. Of course I understand that this wouldn’t be the original masterpiece they first envisioned, but still it would have been something, something stable and playable. With all that being said, I CANNOT RECOMMEND this game to any fellow gamers.

It had potential, but the dev's abandoned it. Really disappointing
This game is another one of those early EA survival titles that had A LOT of promise, but for whatever reason, the devs couldn't continue to build upon it and release updates in a timely manner, even with the influx of cash. Even if they somehow manage to "release" this game, I wouldn't recommend it. The servers will be dead, and the fanbase that enjoyed it early on is mostly long gone. I don't have many hours because I was waiting for them to fix certain game breaking bugs, that whenever I came back to play, they still remained.
Game that had strong potential but the Devs decided to abandon. Huge mistake on their part.
all the people saying there are private servers are lying.. its impossible to play now! apparently they replaced the game with an interactive menu, where it seems like you are in game, but the small cliffed in area you spawn in at is not part of the game, it is surrounded by invisible walls and you cannot leave to play the actual game.
Идея хорошая и графика впечатляла, а реализация нет - все кривое и топорное. Впрочем, эта игра являет собой уже чумной хладный труп.
I really miss this game.
Am gutted that all these years they have given up completing this project. Very buggy in current state. Can I get a refund ?
aucune MAJ depuis 3 ans. je ne recommande pas, ce jeu n'est pas un bon investissement.
